The Moon Is Down is such a fabulous book. I have Burmese Days on my to read list too and Keep the Aspidistra Flying is the very best book title for a game of charades. Love the eclectic nature of your book collection. Really enjoy these shelf tours 😊

Thanks Debs. I’m reading “Sybil” at the moment, and no idea how I would express that in charades!

I love that Steinbeck edition. Today’s shelf was quite eclectic. Where should someone start with Pratchett?

Good question. Lots of people would say “Guards! Guards!”, but maybe start with “Wyrd Sisters”. They’re not a strict series though, you could start (nearly) anywhere.

Gateway is a cracking book, I've never read on despite reading it multiple times. In fact I've never read any other Pohl. I have the same thing with Sturgeon, I've read More Than Human multiple times but nothing else. Ready Player One is utter trash but I did enjoy it, I love Ultima though which it was based on, plus its all 80s and 90s references.

Thanks, I do hear mixed reports on “Ready Player One”. I would heartily recommend the Pohl and Kornbluth “The Space Merchants”.
