I'll be honest. The only reason why I mained Yoru was cause he looked cool. And I was determined to make it work. From footsteps to clone. From two teleports that refresh when you get a kill to a teleport with a timer. From Yoru ult that looked like a Skye dog to Full vision. From Iron 2 to Plat 1 with only Yoru. He's never going to be meta. But outplaying and ankle breaking opponents is just chef's kiss.

My first memory of Yoru is playing against him with a friend on Icebox. Where I got flashed 10+ times by his clone at mid. And then sometimes he did a fake clone. Never had I been so frustrated. And since that day, I have wanted others to be equally frustrated xD That's why a Yoru main :D

You forgot to mention the worst thing to happen to Yoru. Tenz played him in a tournament and preformed so bad with him that his coach literally *banned* him from playing Yoru again. This hurt a lot of Yoru mains morals since not even one of the best players in the world could make Yoru 'work'

Yoru is my bread in butter as it explores the utility of a rarely abused mechanic in FPS games. Info wars. If theres one thing that makes games like CS very predictable, is that spotting an enemy in a place means he's just.... there. He can fight you, peek you weirdly, use util, whatever, but he'll still be there. Yoru throws that out the window. The fact that his position on the map is something you can never pinpoint perfectly is a quirk that people STILL didnt adapt to. Even at high skill levels, being able to mess with what info your enemies have is something no one has enough practice against.

As a Yoru main i find his flashes absolutely busted. Cuz of the new flash tech he can almost win any 1v1. Its just funny having the enemy see a blue ball appear out of nowhere then your whole team get wiped out by a yoru

I agree that Yoru is a bad agent; for a majority of the player base. He is good, he just needs a lot of skill and brains to pull it off and still then it is a risk you are taking. You can decimate the enemy or go 0/13/2.

Yes to play yoru u have to be careful and smart. He s not bad agent, but u must know how to play with team. Often i got my teammates flashed cuz i cant play with team, for me its better go and find kills than to teamplay. But people who havent skills are making him stupid. In low ranks and high ranks yoru is always throwing agent. However when i pickin him am always do my job(entries, winnin duels and makin crazy rotates)

As a fighting game player I love set ups, mind games and rushdown so yoru felt like a perfect fit for me and he kinda was although I also main the controller role.along side him, but getting every buff just made him more and more fun, although I kinda miss using the fake footsteps to fake out noise, I know I can still do it with the clone but I almost feel like im wasting it when just using it as noise misdirection

I've never played valorant. But I played a mobile game called hyper front (a valorant clone game) my favourite agent there was an agent with Yoru's ult. When i had ult. It's was like a garantee round win. I'd ult in a site, while my team waits near the site to entry. I'd call out the location of the player in site if any. And would ult out in an off angle in site or behind site while my team enters. The 2 or 3 enemies holding site would have to worry about me in the back and try to hold my teams enrty. Idk why yoru isn't ise in pro play.

I played valroant from ep1 I played for a year with Jett without any abilities just pure gunplay and I used to only play sherrif and Guardian then when the Neon came I started playing her ans almost mastered her but I got into skins and bought a account with prime vandal and ranked unlocked that account was of a yoru main so I tried playing him and I was introduced to big brain play style and I know buying someone else account was a mistake I later bought skins on my own account and I left neon and I main yoru I gotta say he just need a big brain to play and yeah bind is his best map

yoru is in a similar spot to mirage from apex. clones and decoys/tricksters in game never work. on paper its great but in reality it sucks a little buff to yoru is to make his decoy work like mirage in apex where you can control the decoy to make it more believable or track the nearest enemy because it just goes in a straight line

He’s a good agent but not within pro play, outside of pro play and a player who properly knows how to utilise him, he can be one of the most frustrating agents to play against
