A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO IGOROT CULTURE: A short video showcasing the culture of the people in Cordillera, Philippines Soundtrack: • The Cordillera Fusion ...
If you really do some digging you'll find that our filipino people are related to the moors of africa. In fact that is how islam came to the filipines. At one point most of the filipines were muslims. We had saltans and everything. We called our selves moros (meaning moors) i tell my filipino friends this all the time. Even look at our swords, there is one that closely resemble middle eastern swords. The moros lead many revolts against the spaniards. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IPFrI_KMWwE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--9zdLBNf8HE.html
@@uglybepis3571 nope they all came from mainland Asia Naga and Igorots have differences in language but the Igorots and other Austronesian ancestors are part of the Yue People too.. they came from Yunnan province of China.. and the origin of People of Yunnan are from northeast India and Bhutan which Naga People is located.
@@jeksixten5751 this is not taught in school history books. So most people don't know. the theory states our austronesian ancestors pass through Taiwan before coming to philippine islands. Also there are no records kept. the evidence mostly comes from linguistic and genetic examination.
read chinese history about ancient people in Southern China as known as "Hundred Yue" in english term "Hundred Barbarians".. mass migration ancient people in Southern China was during Han dynasty conquest and genocide against ancient people in Southern China.. look at Igorot people in Philippines consider pure blooded Austronesian ancestry and native people in Taiwan and Naga people are related each other and same cultures.
watched few videos about Igorot culture and noticed lots of similarities with the Nagas tribe of Nagaland in India. Eating habits, traditional attire, way of living and even the looks are same🙄

@@unclejay9205 don't be an idiot, our people came from Taiwan and Southern China, not moors. Moorish traders visited the islands and spread their ideology just like how the Spanish did so
@@unclejay9205 No the moors were black people, We are not black people. We're austronesian like australian aboriginals, samoans, maori, jomon etc... But to be specific we're austro-malay. Arabian trader Karim Al Makhdu brought islam here in Sulu, Making the Sultanate of Sulu of the Moro people which is a tribe like the Tagalogs, Ifugao, Pintados. Islam was further spread out because of the arrival of the 10 datus led by Datu Puti who came from Borneo who were muslim.
My hypothesis is that we have a link to the Nagas by a ancestor like the Baiyue/Nanman. The Nanman/ Baiyue people of south china and Parts of Vietnam had body tattoos on their faces and chests, and had shortened hair (just like the Naga, Igorot and other Austronesian peoples) and were very knowledgeable when it came to wet rice agriculture, they raised water buffalo (just like the Naga, Igorots and other Austronesian peoples). They had clothes made out of plant fiber and tree bark (Just like the Igorots before the arrival of cotton from the Spaniards as shown in some the Igorot (specifically ibaloi) mummies of Benguet that were made pre-Spanish). These people also lived separately in bamboo groves (like the igorots and Nagas, who lived separately in little communities). The nagas (through naga oral traditions) supposedly came from Yunnan china and "Some claim they were forced to leave during the construction of the Great Wall of China. Having travelled from China through the jungles of Myanmar, the Nagas arrived at Makhel. The Naga tribes pronounce the name in different ways - Makhriffi, Meikhel, Mekroma, Mekharomei, Mekrimi, Makhel, or Makhriohfu - but there is no dispute over the exact location of the village or its significance." (source: scroll.in/article/934287/naga-resistance-is-not-recent-its-history-goes-back-to-the-13th-century) The Baiyue lived in and near Yunnan and based on the Naga oral traditions link us (i.e. The Austronesian peoples) to the Naga.
Interesting to be exact. I first noticed NE India and Cordillera similarities in 2015 when I was randomly looking for a friend but ended up in a very Filipina-looking profile (Facebook) that happened to be from Mizoram. It would be great if some specialist do a scholarly paper about this.
Igorots are mostly among the purest of Austronesians, whose ancestors several thousand years ago evolved and lived in what is now Southern China along with the ancestors of the Thais and the Khmer while the Han and other present day East Asians lived in the North (Yellow River), hence why the East Asian look from most of them.
Tais and Austronesian were the one ethnic back then (Austro-Tai) some Tais in southern China still preserved some Austronesian-like words in their language

but we cant use the ethnic wear everyday or going for hunting we only use it during fiest, canao, and any special activities,go fishing is usually normal clothes as every filipino wear😁
Nope..The Nagas were literally like us in the 19'50s ,were just more developed that's why , i also notice that igorot and nagas are the same in personalities
The igorots ,Ilocanos ivatans andaborigin of Taiwan were descendants of austronesians people who migrated from yennan I southern china by way of taiwan down to the philippines they were not Malays or Indonesians. They originated from nanman tribes or popularly known as 100 yue tribes (ba I yue) two waves of migration one through Vietnam down to thailand the second wave through Taiwan down to the phil down Hawaii and new zealand
whenever i watch videos of my tribe (igorot) i always encounter similar comment , (we kinda similar to naga, india, and now mizo) hope to meet one of your tribe here in NZ or OZ, as i always meet those who are from mainland india
Good day! I would like to ask permission to use this video, in my upcoming discussion about Indigenous people. Thank you so much and more power to your channel

The Igorots used weapons for hunting. The pana is no exemption. Maybe yung pana was not common among the hunters but few may have used it. My grandfather from Mountain Province used to tell me stories of their time.
