I wanted to make a counterpart to the dark fantasy aesthetic playlist, so here it is! If you haven't heard the dark version yet, here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-56mJxMMi9bA.html Thank you all for your support!
speaking of your latest Dark Fantasy playlist, it's great to see there some of the best Dungeon Synth acts like Erythrite Throne, Malfet, Ulk, etc. Thanks for that. ~Erang~
I love this quote so much! I used to spend hours every day as a child just reading and fantasizing, but ever since school became progressively more demanding it feels like my attention span has been demolished and my capacity to read anything that isn't strictly required for academics is gone. Even my imagination is less of a carefree and innocent place than it once was. I've been devastated that those things could be lost, but recently I've had hope that they will return in due time, one day when I'm old enough.
Ahh, the good times, how I remember them from when I was little. An age of adventure, of fair damsels, wise wizards and brave knights. When, at the end of the adventure, the wicked always lost, peace was brought to the lands, and the dragon was either slain or convinced of the error or their ways. The sun was always shining, the birds sang, and the air itself seemed magical. Then, I grew up. And it all faded, like jewels losing their luster. I still remember it though, those gilded memories...
Your channel is like my secret garden. When I want to escape reality, I come here and everything starts to feel peaceful and magical again. Like in a dream far away, when I was a kid. I enjoy staying here alone for a while. And when I start to feel lonely, I just open the comments, and so many warm-hearted people keep me company. Thank you very much!
I think I've finally understood what makes Jeremy Soule's compositions hit so very differently. It isn't just the melodies and motifs, not just the emotional sweeps they create. It is the fact that they evoke landscapes. Rather than just emotions, or just particular narratives that other compositions provide, as an emotional or atmospheric addition to the gameplay, the Elder Scrolls compositions evoke the *world* of the games. They aren't trying to create a specific, particular emotion. They *are* the landscapes, providing a magnificent backdrop of such scope, width and breadth, that they immediately evoke the sweeping tundra, the mountains looming on the horizon, the wind blowing through the grass, the freezing shores and snowy mountain tops, and in all of these you can create a whole narrative in your mind, just listening to them. Absolutely, the peak of soundtrack creation.
Thank you very much for this playlist. Now I’m watching the TV series Merlin and listening to similar music, plunging into my fantasies of that fairy-tale world.
aw man, the dark fantasy playlist has been my favourite of yours so far. i’ve listened to it 4 or 5 times in a row once and it helped regulating my emotions on vacation (hot weather can be exhausting haha) very much looking forward to this one and all the other ones too of course
Best of luck on your exam!! It might help a little to remember that most of the other students who are taking it will also be nervous, and that the teacher will expect that. Do relax as much as you can, but even if you can't manage that completely, it'll still be okay.
Exactly what I needed ☺️👌 You always surprise me how well you can create certain vibes with the music, thumbnail, title and the pictures you use are really nailing it. Love your stuff ❤
I love the Dark Fantasy playlist you posted. I have been listening to that while playing Elden Ring. This will definitely be on while I play it. Maybe do a grey fantasy playlist? Is that even possible?
I am so excited about this, the dark fantasy playlist is one of my absolute favourites!! This is such a captivating an elusive vibe, thank you so much for making another playlist with the same aesthetic!!
This Playlist is too good for classic light fantasy! It ´s reminding me of romanesque architecture at sunlight, it´s reasonable and has a bit deeper level of poetry than just: be happy. honestly, light fantasy always seems a bit too dump for me, too much glamour and too less seriousness. Reminds me of the rokoko age, where the nobility lost connections to the real world, lifted off and acted like everyone of them was a noble, beautiful prince, when in reality they all were more or less stupid in comparison to the nobility of the renaissance for example. I personally hate the rokoko art, all those stupid fat Putt children and sweetly foggy Paintings of Fragonard, showing young pairs acting polite and lighthearted, who just want to bäng in real life. It seems to me like they tried to deny the reality... ...just like we do nowadays, thinking of animegirls and being online the whole time... Folks, let us try to feel the reality, all the good and the bad sides of it! It can be magical, if we just take the courage.
I don't have an english word for how I think you feel about this part of society, but in french I call it 'paraître'. I could look it up its but it'll probably translate as 'appearance' or something
Just finished reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and although it is not medieval at all I am so in tune right now with the fantasy mood. Thank you for the playlist! It is making my morning :D
how beautiful is bright fantasy, i remember entire summers playing fate, a videogame by wildtangent, and being like a magic warrior with my pet exploring the dungeon, how beautiful times. now im a fully grown adult and in my free time i still play fate
“What you see and what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Magician’s Nephew
I really like the fact that we're going to get to see a popularity contest between dark and light fantasy here. (Although dark fantasy has a biiiiiig lead.)
с нетерпением жду, когда у тебя будет 1 млн подписчиков. Твой труд этого достоин! Для меня до сих пор загадка, как ты находишь такую замечательную музыку. Продолжай в том же духе! Я подписана на тебя с двух аккаунтов.
Love your stuff, always something interesting and new to listen to while I do my summer research! If you are looking for a suggestion, maybe a lowkey cyberpunk-esque vibe?
Thank you for the good music, as always. I've been exploring different portrayals of knights in 'light fantasy' versus 'dark fantasy.' Personally, I think the knight from 'light fantasy' actually belongs in 'dark fantasy' because he comes from a society where honor is a distant memory.
It’s amazing✨. If I may ,I chose to feel it as if it’s a quest for the cinematographic MacGuffin(fed up with the religious st graal);and go through esoterical adventures, but finally, it’s realist scientifical discoveries all the way to better understand our world.
Those were the days the days old and wise where the lust of adventure remained we fought dragons creatures explored faroff lands explored the misty lanes the birds sang when we came back the wizards old and wise rose to the shining bright Oh I wish that i explored the roads that we never took After our flame went out the years went by and all of us eventually left, left behind our legacy.
It's a little hard to explain, but if I'm breaking it down really simplistically, I'd say "light fantasy" stories have happy endings and never get too depressing, and "dark fantasy" stories tend to feel dystopian and may or may not end happily.
