Maybe send a letter to your local politician telling them to pull their fingers from their backsides and stop the rising inflation that is causing the price rises for both the railway and the passengers that should be visiting. Also tell them to stop listening to the green lobbyist's and allow more coal mines to be re-opened so we can get cheaper coal. Before you slag the railway off please consider these things as its just not the Severn Valley Railway that is running empty trains and raising prices, I visited the Welsh Highland Railway during August and they were charging £30 each person to only travel half way up the line and back rather than the full line, I could have gone straight on their RU-vid channel and pathetically told them they were too expensive and I didn't go the full distance on the line but I knew they were having the same issues as the Severn Valley Railway.
Certainly a better working environment for the team but it now looks less like an old heritage steam shed and more like Kidderminster DMD. It would have been nice to have had a final video showing the finished shed with new painted floor etc, maybe seeing the engines being moved back in. Lost opportunity!
