I really wish every principal and every teacher had his attitude. People are so quick to give up and take the easy way out these days. 7 principals in 2 years? This man should be rewarded for his continuous efforts.

I went to 22 back in the late 50s and it was a good school then. Glad to see it's come back some. They should make a movie about this guy and his story.

this makes me tears cuz just a couple of years ago the school was an empty cloud. And i live literally 3 blocks away from me. And it makes me happy to know the community is bettering.

My mother went to this school from 1969-1972. JHS 22 was bad back then. She told me stories about it. Kids used to set fire to the closets almost everyday and the fire department had to come to put it out. She even told me there was this principal named Mr. Solomon and the kids were so bad. They wanted Mr. Solomon out of there. She even told me one day how the kids gained access to the roof and were throwing things and they were protesting, "We want Mr. Solomon". He left afterwards.

I don't think it was appropriate to show the 20 year experienced teacher being negatively evaluated , that is something to be kept private. My advice to other teachers who have principals who set the bar high is that you come highly prepared to teach your lesson and be more knowledgeable than him...just because he is your principal it does not necessarily mean he knows more about teaching than you......

but also its every school =/ in my private school like half of them do weed. and also the "bad" children should b really blaming the parents who didnt use the steel hand...my mom has titanium hands but everyone once in a while she puts on the silk glove and lets me go to the park with my friends.

they'r rnt threatning freedom. And btw the "thugs" are separated from the other kids. Also the good kids have no other option but to go to that school. Thru my middle school i now go to private school.
