@@alexmaurice4274 there’s not a lot to loot, but the mechanic to me doesn’t feel horrible. Slightly jank, but could use some tweaking. I’m personally not understanding how the game is boring for people unless these kinds of games aren’t there cup of tea. I’m hoping that there will be more stuff coming once the servers stop shitting the bed
@@SirBlackout_ that’s fair ig I’m used to tarkov just without the more advanced looting I just felt it was “boring” and lacked a goal of trying to find money for gear and just felt like only the tasks
The game is great compared to when EFT started out, you practically couldn't play tarkov on Alpha release, and there is a lot more content in this game's alpha. I feel most people are failing to understand this game is in a Alpha stage.
@@veryblue_ you’re right. There’s a lot of people that are expecting this game to do what a Tarkov does or even better on day 1 when in actuality, people gotta lower their expectations while keeping them realistic. If they expected Gray Zone to do what other games took 4-5 years to do, they were expecting way too much 🤷🏻♂️
Im over 10 hours into grey zone and even with all the crashes, stutters and hitches, its by far the best co-op shooter experience ive played in years. I spent 4 hours in a single cross faction gunfight at hunters paradise last night, and that was literally the most fun I've had in a shooter in years.
4 and half hours of just me, wandering, sneaking, stalking and then helping a guy not get ganked. Best early access experience I've ever had. Looking forward to teaming up with the bois!
Man every time you do the intro after pulling up the seat and give a quick rundown I'm expecting this big flashy yellow logo with heavy metal intro only to then realize this is SirBlackout and not Bigfry. Idk how you do it man but keep it up 💪
Games not finished and literally in early access so everyone talking shit makes no sense to me, they're already more on top of it then bsg ever is. This game has more of a future. Yes bugs yes server issues but I also played all day 5-1 and never lost connection. So to me I ahd a smooth running game. My only complaint is there frames dropping but it's was only the first couple heli rides and wondering around but after a hour or so it was smoother also changing the sharpness helped the visuals alot for me. Definitely can be great within a few updates I love it
Someone who gets it, the foundation of the game is solid. I'm going to be happy playing this and helping the devs produce a great game by being active with my suggestions and testing. I'm burnt out with tarkov the sound in that is terrible greyzone has nailed the audio aspect as well as the lighting. I look forward to the journey the game is going to take and I have high hopes the final product will be fantastic two - three years down the line.
@Ailikor exactly everyone's out to get it already but it's just like tarkov early access just GZ has already been on top of it yes there needs to be changes, but within a little time the game will be great no one's said the games polished nor finished so the hate is crazy to me plus it's basically a less hard-core for those who don't want the complete research part like tarkov not hate to that just saying it's a less hard-core which I like cause tarkov takes to long to do anything. Plus the no load time and being able to exfile whenever is so sick.
So my take on it for anyone thinking of getting the game. Please, make sure you are playing with friends, it elevates the gameplay and makes everything more fun. If you are the type of player who loves Apex, CoD, Fortnite and so on, this is not it. This is the opposite, it's slow, it takes time, there's not much to do for a long run, but it's fine, enjoy the experience. This is a slow type of game, more realism to it then most games you've played. And the performance, yes, it's bad, not good in anyway or shape. I play on custom settings, without fsr on (Rx 6800, ryzen3700x, 32gb ram, 4 tb). Where I have foliage, Textures on High, Shadows on Medium (or high) and the rest on low. My FOV is set on 68. So here's the issue, I Have between 55-75 fps depending on where, the biggest issue is ADS, when you ADS, you loose about 15-25 fps. I don't like FSR as everything becomes somewhat blurrier.
biggest problem for me is that the game looks very blurry and pixalated, ive tried all the diffrent settings and im playing on a 27 inch 4k monitor, this game just hurts my eyes, wtf.
@@Tracker5111 I have a 4070ti and I'm selling my 4k monitor because games don't run that well but its playable, it's still blurry and pixelated in 4k wtf.
“They did not expect this many people would want to play their game” is not a valid excuse anymore that excuse has been beat to death over the years. There’s zero reason to have shit servers on a launch of an online game in 2024.
Unfortunately it's part of releasing an online game, it's not ideal but it's part of the process, I've played the past 2 days and had 0 server queue and no server crashes, im lucky I guess but it just shows how temperamental servers can be, big companies struggle 🤷♂️
@@vanquest5341 as much flak as they get Diablo 4 had a flawless launch server wise with littlerally 0 issues. Blizzard had never had a successful launch until d4 and I know they had at least twice the amount of people on launch for that then grey zone.
@@vanquest5341 the point is they couldn’t afford to have yet another shit launch and actually devoted resources needed to have a smooth launch and if an Indy developer wants to hit the ground running the right way then have a smooth server launch. If you don’t think you’ve devoted the resources needed for it then hold off the launch then. It is inexcusable in 2024 after so many big and small developers have seen what has happened to the others with rocky launches and yet they still say screw it full send it anyways. If you can’t have a smooth launch then just don’t do it until you’re capable to. Stress tests are there for a reason… so yes I can compare the two because blizzard finally actually did what was needed to provide a smooth launch and proved it can be done. Grey warfare didn’t and deserve all the flak for it.
@@briankramer8737 You can't compare 1 game releasing relatively smoothly by a behemoth of a aaa company to an indie dev releasing an early access game.
going in with the mindset that the game is alegedly only 20% done, and that is an early access i mean, is good enough given the context feels a more streamlined tarkov, which has become kinda needed these days decent fun with friends, i'm enjoying it so far
First day = suck big time ( all bugs happened to me including crashes, headless and no inventory). Second day - almost no crashes, a fun few runs ( still headless and no inventory), third day = lots of fun, almost no crashes ( maybe one or two max), and now with head and inventory. The game is fun!
I've been enjoying it despite the flaws. Also Ive not had any performance issues. I hold over 100fps almost constantly. I do however have a few issues with the game. One is that the loot is too boring in most places. I don't need crazy loot everywhere but give me something worth picking up. Small junk loot worth $10-$50 would be a big improvement. Another issue I had was the stash size being too small. I'd like to stack my backpacks too. I must loot goblin.
I spawn in without a head, but for me it is just a cosmetic thing because I been playing perfectly fine. A floating pair of glasses is pretty hilarious, anyway
Iv never lost anything on a crash 🤷♂️ the devs put a safeguard in game to ensure nothing is lost. Best early access game on launch iv ever played... the hate is baffling
@@veryblue_ other than the crashes the gameplay is great. It just doesn't feel great to lose all your progress in the home stretch. I had my entire pc crash right as I was getting to HQ and lost everything from the raid.
@@jamesatkinson2923 just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean that's a universal experience. In fact, streamers and players complain about crashing a lot. And by safeguard, do you mean the secure container? That doesn't save quest progress.
@lun4r16 this is a funny one and a little ironic as 2 days ago, I had a crash and lost all my clothes and secure container. Complained to devs but heard nothing. I reset my account, following morning I learned the issue has now been patched and we should receive items back through vendor mailbox 😖😂 jokes on me boys! Haha
game runs fine on an i9-13900k with a 4070ti; 130 fps @ 1440p. You get a brief 1 second stutter coming into new grid zones, but that's just caching a new area, not game breaking. Seems playable and enjoyable thus far for early access. I seem to recall people playing Tarkov and it's been in early access for like, 8 years? People just need to relax.
I love this game, its so much fun and unique. My buddies and I have just spent so much time exploring and having a blast, the only problem is its ruined by the servers instablity. Once this gets fixed it will be sooo much better to play
Aside from the server issue and performance I’ve had a good time. The foundations are there. Just please give me toggle lean and sprint and I’m happy with what we have so far.
This game rocks man. I’ve got this weird blurriness issue, like, grainy/low pixel, at 2k. It seems like a rendering problem that might either come with the game files or is simply a glitch for some people’s systems? But I figure that will be fixed. I’ve seen other videos where it seems to be the same way. Other than that though, game feels amazing, gunplay is great, and the haters are literally spouting nonsense. They’ve never even played the game and I can tell.
Games not bad, I have a high end PC so I haven’t had the performance issues others are experiencing. I know it’s very bare bones right now, but anyone who played Tarkov day 1 in 2017 will know this actually has more content than Tarkov did back when they released. As long as the developers pump out rapid hotfixes and patches for this game it’ll succeed. It definitely needs some work, polishing, and flushing the world out a bit more. Gamers have short attention spans so if they have a bad early experience they’re gonna be unlikely to return. But I do enjoy it so far and it can really hopefully only get better moving forward. Good luck out there fellas and be kind to one another in game and help each other. It enhances the experience. I have 12-13 hours so far have been deliberately TK’ed 2x which is annoying but most people are friendly and helpful when questing.
I enjoy the Game progress even I have low specs PC I know they will optimized it more in future and etc. they compare the UE5 to Unity how sad people comparing that!!!! god bless and have fun
I was really disappointed when I went to another factions outskirt town and seen literally the whole town copy pasted. It was identical in every aspect to my factions outskirt town. That's just lazy game development.
I run 32gb ram, with a 4070ti, and idk if its me or what, but i have input lag when getting into base, and at random times, and during combat it is soo painful... also some bots take a whole mag to the face.. anyone else experiencing these issues? And also i just got the bug that deleted my head and everything i had on me... soo dont say they fixed a bug, they obviously didnt
i really wanted to like this game and was very forgiving while playing it, but the performace issuse i was experiancing is just unplabale in its current state for me at least
First 3 games lasted 20 sec . Got killed off the helicopter by rat. . Plus I keep getting my gear l taken from same faction as me. Don’t die in a group you will lose your gear .
just because you have 120 quest that tell you to some point or pick something up doesnt mean the game is not boring. I refunded it because I didnt see a reason to keep going to these jungle villages on helicopter and back
What an amazing fucking video bro. I think a major issue with GZW is not so much with the game itself, but the entitled cry baby creators who bitched that they couldn't play but now that they can play...they aren't happy. I'm sick of this shit dude
I feel you. These people wanted access, they get it, and some of them have some of the most garbage ass reviews and takes on this game because it’s not perfect. It’s got issues, we all warned them about it, but most chose not to listen and took it with a “it’ll be different for me approach.” I think $35 is fair for this game, I think that this game is going to kick so much ass and I can’t wait to see it. Thanks for the comment bro!
@@DirtyCivilian14 there’s little to no optimization with this game so people with 4000 series cards are going to struggle while people with 2080s could run the game just fine. Once they start optimizing the game, performance should be consistent.
You do know that steam is going to like delete your account and stuff when you do a chargeback on items that specifically said no refunds when you bought it right
When you bought those DLC they said specifically no way to refund it. So if you did a charge back on steam Steam does not like that at all They basically delete everything off your account, lock your account for like 2 years and then give you back your empty account. Saying here you go. Don't do it again
I actually like the game and I also understand what early access means. I’m here for the potential. This isn’t the day before the day after or what ever that scam was called.
@@Lief3002 you sound mad at the truth bud. Set a timer to come back to this comment in 2 weeks and apologize for being an ape in public and saying “L take”like an edgy 14 year old HHAHAHAHA WHO ACTUALLY TYPES THAT?? And “Hyped for months” This shit must have been your first wishlisted game on steam if u think that makes it any better. Surely no shitty games get hyped before launch LMFAOOOOO I can’t.
lol me and my buddy where playing he was in front of me on the road and above him was power lines I throw a made and the nade floats in the power lines stoped mid air and fucked him up lol
That’s so weird. I run a 6800 XT, Ryzen 9 3900X and I experience very minimal issues. They have a guide that’s supposed to help troubleshoot the performance issues
Oh come on…it ain’t that bad. There’s been tons of great to have come out over several years. The AAA industry is terrible, but indie has been kicking ass
@@SirBlackout_ bg3 was great, before that elden ring but what else? Indie is better but on the whole we have an oversaturation of games with too many clones and copies to make a buck. dlc is predatory, loot boxes are literal gambling and don't get me started on companies like EA that push these stupid fifa packs and madden packs. the entire industry is fucked right now
