Sierra Schultzzie also you should try to order from a company called Dresslily it took them 2 months to ship my order they are a scam and more people should be aware of their issues
I saw that shirt on you and crossed my fingers... "Poshmark pleeease" .....! Yes for Poshmark pile! Now I'll just refresh your poshmark a bunch I guess. I like that shirt a lot but I am also trying to only buy secondhand nowadays.
Now if only their sizing was consistent with their size charts and the actual item measurements 🙃 I love the new styles but Target has definitely taught me to just find what size I feel most comfortable in.
I honestly feel like it’s gotten worse! Target used to be my go to for work clothes and I bought a lot of dresses in the juniors section. Now the juniors clothes are such cheap quality and everything fits weird, atleast on my body. I feel like I always have issues with their sleeves being too tight and too short.
I really wish you’d do some close up shots of the items as you talk about them so we can see those small details you’re talking about! You brought up some details in this video that I definitely wasn’t able to see from the camera placement.
Her videos are always so well done, but I couldn’t agree more. Detailed b-roll and 360 turns would make it that much more informative and interesting. I love her personality and everything she produces, but there’s always room for growth. ☺️
@@DaniJean1 Agreed! She incredible with her videography, but I think it'd help. Also really appreciate how many people are giving constructive criticism instead of hateful comments-- good jobs guys!
Dear Sierra, I just wanted to thank you for all you have helped me through. As a person who struggles with being underweight your videos about body positivity have helped me love my body again. Their have been times where I try to find jeans because all my friends wear them and not even the smallest size in the store fits. It makes me want to cry but after finding your channel I have learned that everyone’s body is different. I know being plus size and underweight are very different but body positivity is something everybody should learn. Of course I’m still learning to love my body but I have came a long way because of you so thank you. Edit: I’m gonna cry this community is so nice and supportive ☺️
A very interesting perspective. I didn’t get it until a friend ranted on Facebook about people telling her to eat a cheeseburger. As someone who has been on the opposite side of the spectrum, I wish I had your problem. But the grass is always greener right? I am sure you are beautiful just the way you are! Love women giving other women positivity!
Kelly Pogue I get people saying a lot that they wish they were in my position but it really sucks. Say I got like the corona virus and I couldn’t eat I would become extremely sick. Also thank you so much for being so nice ☺️
Video idea! Have someone pick out pieces from a variety of brands/prices for you, and you guess high end vs low end, and bonus if you get the brand right! I’d love to see your opinion on quality without knowing the brand !
I think it’s important to differentiate: Many brands advertise their sustainability (using some percentage of recycled polyester, maybe lower pollution etc) while still not being fair trade (which would mean fair business practices, better working conditions, higher wages, no child labor). Personally, I am more willing to compromise on the ecological footprint than on child slavery and exploitation. Target selling clothes that are fair trade is huge progress 🙌
Marleen Jones I thought so, but Sierra’s “it’s fair trade” was a bit vague... Apparently the clothes are made in Vietnam by a contractor called Saitex. J.Crew/Madewell had Saitex fair trade certified earlier this year. Because Target did not pay for the certification, the label says “Fair Trade Certified Factory” rather than just “Fair Trade”. It’s all a bit confusing to me, because the prices are also too low. We have fair trade products in Germany and they are much more expensive than 35$. Fair trade jeans usually cost double and triple that price.
@@MK-zm7de yeah. But possible that fair trade and recycled and fair trade polyester is cheaper than also getting the cotton to be fair trade. Fair trade has to be all the way down. The factory may have more fair wages, but if the cotton the fabric is made of, the weaving and dying isn't. Well then you have a fair trade factory. Not fait trade clothes
M K yeah when Sierra was talking about them being fair trade and keeping the price point the same, my head kind of swiveled because how can we have a bunch of cheap throw away clothes and still have the supply chain being paid fairly? From all of the things I’ve studied and learned about this, it just doesn’t work. The factor is not to have a bunch of places sell cheap clothes to us and make them fair trade that defeats the purpose but instead we would need to buy less clothes and more high quality or more transparent and fair priced clothing. And if you can’t afford that or save up for those pieces then poshmark, thredup, and general second hand or thrift clothes are the way to go. I’m an avid thrifter and I find target brands at the thrift store often, it’s even cheaper than buying them new, I see them on poshmark all the time and thredup as well.
Can you do a video on fashion for a poverty level budget due to how many people are in really though financial situations right now? You can bring awareness to how many Americans live below poverty levels.
hey everyone! Target team member here, just wanted to give a heads up to anyone trying to buy any of the items she purchased, target does not sell plus sizes in these brands in store. majority of the time they are online only. Ava Viv is our only plus size line we carry in store! (sometimes, every store is different)!! (:
hey, just to let you know that the last pants were probably “riding up” because they were supposed to be mid rise and you probably thought they were high rise?
It would be interesting to see how these (and other brands) hold up after a few wears and washes! Everything looks great brand new, but do they shrink after one wash? Do they fade? Do they pill? Does the price point still hold true after a few wears? Just some thoughts!
I can't speak for all their pieces, but I have a wild fable shirt that I wear ALL the time and it still looks the same as when I bought it. I also have a couple new day t shirts that I wear to work (so I wash them a lot more often) and those are still great condition but definitely not brand new looking, they're black shirts and they look slightly faded but I've absolutely gotten so much wear out of them, and they're really soft and comf. worth it imo.
I am LIVING for the size inclusivity. The fact that everything that was standard size started at a 00 or XS is awesome to me(because size inclusivity is for petite girls too) and they have plus sizes. Why can't more brands be like this?
@@bloomingkenz Thanks for telling me, I didn't know. I guess I should have said that both petite and plus size girls need size inclusivity as well as girls who wear smaller sizes.
I think the green jumpsuit looked amazing on you!! The slightly roomier fit is something I would always look for (but can never find lol) and gives such a nice effortless (in a Scandinavian way of that makes sense) vibe. Looking gooood 😍
@@errbear6789 it did. I think some people get used to feeling their clothes more fitted to the body and anything slightly more loose just makes them uncomfortable. I've noticed she tends to gravitate more toward the fitted pieces than the flowy ones.
Sierra there’s no point of trying on pants if we can only see them from the knee up :( you should definitely show the bottom of the pants so we can see the shape/style of them.
I love target but I have also noticed even in the same brands sizing is ALL OVER THE PLACE! I own things in the same target brand ranging from an XS to a L and pants from a 2 to an 8! I always try targets clothes on in store but with the pandemic (at least in our store) dressing rooms are closed. Thank goodness for their flexible return policy!!
Yes! Their sizing is ridiculous! I have size large things from a couple years ago that fit great then I try things in xl or xxl now and they don’t fit! Idk if their stuff is all getting smaller or it’s just the items I try but it makes no sense!
I love it when cropped pants fit normally on us shorter gals 😁 my favourite pair of leggings are 7/8 length, but they're the perfect length for me (5'3" ish, 160cm)
I would love to see a brutally honest review of Modcloth! Their website seems so cute and size inclusive, but I have never known anyone who has actually shopped there.
I have worked at Target stores twice in my life time and both times were SUPER different with clothing and accessories. I’m obsessed with their brand they have now especially plus size stuff which use to not be a thing so I’m HERE 👏 FOR 👏 IT!!!
The jeans and the tie waist pants fit differently because they're not made from the same fabric. Even though both probably say '100% cotton', the cotton was spun into denim for the jeans and probably khaki for the pants. The khaki might have been a thicker material, which accounted for the size difference.
I work at 🎯 so I've tried all the brand's a lot. The Wild Fable is cut more like a junior's cut. I love that they have plus size it's so nice to have fun clothes in plus size. Universal thread jeans are very nice especially fair trade jeans. They do stretch out as you wear them so may want to size down. The Knox Rose brand I love but after you wash them the length does shrink even if you don't dry them. I ususlly just get their dresses. Also the short sleeve campershirt in universal thread is so cute. It would look so good on you. I have it in green plaid. I love it.
This is an opinion, not fact, but I thought the skirt was too tight .The size 16s fit great and had that relaxed look everyone goes for. The 14s were imo, too tight especially when sitting down. They were cutting in the waist when she moved around. Straight legs should be a tad roomy in the crotch as they arent skinnies. The wide leg tie front pants fit like the 14s because they were both too small. I figured she would keep the smaller size tho. This goes without saying her body is beautiful and it is the fit, just my opinion, that is a bit tight. I think the green jumper was more too long than it was wide. They cut it for taller people with long torsos, which sucks for us short folk lol . I loved everything else😍 universal thread is my favorite line from them.
@@mimi-xx Of course body con styles can look absolutely gorgeous on plus size people. That's why I said "fit" not style. From looking at the slit it is pulling open and off center, the pattern is pulling as well its not doing this on the model. Which gives the appearance of it being too tight. My comment was not meant to offend or target plus sized bodies. I've told Sierra that her body is great in many other videos. It's the sizing of clothing shes chooses. But as I said it's her preference of fit and only my opinion
Two years ago I bought the Universal Thread bermuda shorts and after about a year of wearing them the chub rub made holes in them. I repurchased them anyway because they are so incredibly comfortable I couldn't live without them!
I love seeing roots grown out right now. That's the true mark of someone doing their self- isolation duty! My roots were crazy and went from platinum blonde to jet black. So I finally shaved my head and I love it.
You should try a different style of clothing, because it starting to get repetitive when you choose the same style of clothes but on different stores, you’re not gonna keep them anyways so why not try something different? You might surprise yourself 🤷🏻♀️. Just some feedback, a lot of us like to follow your videos but don’t dress like you do . 😊
Sierra is hands down my favorite person to watch for clothing reviews, it feels just like talking to a friend about what they honestly thought about stuff
Target Style team member here! It’s a struggle not to buy stuff all the time with how cute the brands are! With UT you are right! The jeans are great but unfortunately I’ve always had a problem with sizes varying. Wild Fable is like a mix of 90s and modern style and it’s fun to play around with plus it’s SUPER cheap and accessible for everyone! A New Day is great for younger and young at heart fashionistas.
Can you do a video where you do this again but everytime you don’t like something, style it with something of your liking? For example those white shorts would have looked way better if it would have been styled with a different shirt. Maybe you would have liked them more. I don’t know if that made sense 😂😂 love you 💕
Sierra you should try and spend a whole week in natural fiber clothing which I mean only wearing cotton, linen or woolen clothing. Try not to wear artificially made clothing such as polyester and any other synthetic material.
Thank you so much for putting proper captions on this video, instead of just the auto-generated ones!!! As a hard of hearing person, I really appreciate it 💖
Really? I thought target in Canada was great and the prices were actually relatively comparable to the Us prices! As someone who shopped in Target US multiple times a month, I just lived for the Canadian target - is still sad about it lol
I really like how the green jumpsuit looked, the colour was amazing on your skin-tone. I think alot of the fit issues would be fixed if you took up the shoulders by an inch or two, it would still be a looser fitting garment but would seem purposeful instead of sloppy.
One of my favourite things is doing my Chloe Ting workouts for the day, then watching Sierra Together they have helped me so so so much, Sierra is so body positive and helps me love my body and Chloe helps me be more confident in myself too!!
I'm wearing a pair of Universal Threads shorts in a dark denim. They're super comfortable and are the first shorts to fit me well in years. I agree with other commenters that they tend to stretch out somewhat during the day unlike more expensive denim. My two favorite dresses are from Target as well: a ribbed Who What Wear emerald green dress that was the only one of its kind when I went shopping on my birthday, and a black bodycon dress from Wild Fable that is my everyday favorite.
I very much appreciate you speaking on sustainability. I appreciate you reselling on postmark as well. I'm exhausted seeing so many hauls from others and then closet clean outs.
target employee here!! so many people have been ordering that plaid skirt and i’ve honestly been eyeing it too! might have to finally splurge! i also have the pink and orange cropped tank top and it’s way cute!! love wild fable but it tends to run way small. i usually size up 2 sizes at least for their tops ✨💕
@@abbygordon1619 girl. Jumpsuits are horrible for anyone not "perfectly proportionate." I can also never find em and i am not even plus sized. And like 3 cm above average length. I do have a stumach and boobs. And my torso is proportionally long. Jumpsuits aren't an option for so so many people
Here’s my opinion, saying this as a plus size young lady, (who btw, is perfectly happy with the weight she is) target is my LORD AND SAVIOR, when it comes to shopping. Target is the majority of all my jeans (since jeans from American eagle don’t exactly fit my body type). All of my bathing suits and hats are from target, sooo, yeah. I love target. But here is one thing, at target, they always have the signs on the ceiling, like “boys” “girls” “women” “men” and then their is “plus size” I get that the plus size area is great to have, and i love that Target has one vc the majority of retail stores don’t. I shop in the plus size area all the time. And 70% of the world is size 14+ (women), and I find it annoying that the other 30% of women get more options, now don’t get me wrong, I get the “slimmer” side of the world deserves their own part to, just as much as plus size! but I find it sad to see (at my target) 5 or 6 “plus size” women all looking for Jeans that are sold out. As the “slimmer section” completely filled with Jean stand untouched. I think target should balance out the “plus size” area and the “women” area. This is just my opinion, no hate towards slimmer women!
I’m a Target team member, specifically in the clothing department, and trust me when I say everyone in the style department of my store HATES how small the plus size section is, especially in comparison to the rest of the women’s section. Same with our maturity section. Online, both maternity and the plus size section are much more plentiful when it comes to options, but in stores their sections are tiny. Which really sucks because, in my opinion, it’s much more necessary to try clothing on when a bigger size.
This may be a weird compliment, but thank you for highlighting elastic waist and elastic banded shirts. I’m 32 and grew up in the late 90s-2000s when low rise, tight, fitted clothing were the trend. None of those trends fit my plus sized body and so I was either made fun of, or felt like I never fit in. It’s so nice seeing influencers highlight these things now (even though I know it’s trendy now, it helps this plus size girl feel less self-conscious). And I LOVE Target’s new plus size clothing! I usually go toward the Ava-Viv brand. Finally more affordable plus size options!
Hey Sierra! Can you please talk about children's plus size clothing! Justice (formally Limited Too!) has awesome plus fashion and I feel like it's a topic that doesn't get talked about enough ;D
I'm not plus size nor do I have the same style as you do, but I still love the atmosphere I enter while watching your videos. I feel accepted and save here. keep doing you Sierra you're awesome
The problem why ethical brands are so expensive is, that they just don’t order enough pieces to make them really cheap! Paying fair wages isn’t what makes them sooo expensive
The mustardy coloured pant and white top colour combo suits you so well! Definitely my favourite pieces along with the jeans and red dress. Wish target Australia carried the same lines!
You are such a pretty girl. It’s interesting that you say you don’t like things tight on you but you tend to go towards things that are snug. The red dress and green one piece suit both looked great on you. You stated the green was too loose but that is how they are supposed to be. It looked so good on you. Now the plaid skirt... was not your friend. It literally cut into you in several spots and they made you look much bigger then you are. Ditch the skirt. This week I watched your videos several times and that was the second pair of that color I saw on you. That color is not for you.. it enhances everything you don’t want enhanced. They might as well be see through. I think you like the tighter fitting clothes because that is what you were used to wearing a few years ago but you now have a women’s body and the tighter fitting clothes are enhancing the areas you say you don’t want to enhance. You are so pretty. Don’t be afraid to dress like the young WOMAN that you are. Stay clear of clothes that enhance areas that you don’t want enhanced. You need to step out of your “what I’m used to” box and venture to new styles of clothing. I am your fan and I adore you . This is all constructive criticism so please take it that way. 😘
The orange striped tank with the jeans is giving me all the friends vibes. Id love to see you do a video copying some of the Friends outfits. I remember watching friends and loving the outfits and thinking to myself "Oh I could never wear that." but that isn't true at all.
I have the green jumpsuit from A New Day and it fits me so well! I wore it to my friend's wedding and I looked SO cute. Normally I feel like my proportions are similar to Sierra's but I guess not with that particular piece! I was also able to try it on in stores, so I found one that fit right before I bought it.
