This week we are back at Treasure beach continuing the mind blowing day of mudlarking that we had, where I find something truly beautiful and rare! If I had known they existed it would have definitely been on my bucket list! We also find lots of other wonderful treasure. So come with us to see what it is that I find that is so special (as I get just a little bit excited!)

O Fleur what a find and so detailed and whole. Made your day I can see. All the beads were lovely too and the pink bead would make a lovely jelly for the dolls house. The car I wonderful is it Bluebird? The sharks tooth is nice too. Its all nice......

The hockey shin guards, small size, I keep at hand to kneel, waddle, or crawl over stony ground. They're like a holiday for my knees. They're better than the foam padded elastic ones. Here's to your new amazing adventure!

With a find like that dog whistle Fleur, why wouldn’t one get very excited. The patina and the exquisite detail are absolutely beautiful.What a treasure! Regarding that remarkable hound whistle: The little wood component,like cork,can shrink detrimentally. Please consider oiling it with,well,any oil would do,or dipping it in boiling wax. Those little bits can very easily pop free! The dry air,so bad for submerged wood. In fact,is it cork? Just wondering.😊 If so,the boiled wax is the best option.

What a Delightful Day with You both! So many tasty miniatures, morsels of goodness. I would really like you two to (pick up any tiny things with a hole going all the way through them, whether it be a bead, rock, tiny hag stone, bone or piece of metal). Don't show us all of them until the roundup, when they are all strung together (if only temporarily), as you do your beads. It would be a colorful, quirky, unique and always surprising arrangement. What do you think? My most favorite of all the treasures was Fleur's stunning, rare find (like you, I held my breath), and the very precious turquoise and pink flowers that Kate found.

Funny, today while at our weekly market, we had lots of dogs. Every kind of dog you could imagine. Pit Bulls, Huskies with brown eyes and blue eyes, soft silver coated hounds of sorts and some just mutts. But all kind, well behaved and very loving. And then you find a stunning dog whistle. I love the nose and ears on this piece. And the detail is beautiful. I'm very glad you found it.

I can’t believe the day that you had. The dog whistle is absolutely phenomenal. Such history. It was so exciting watching you pull that up. The whistle has such sensitive carving. You can really imagine that the sculptor had a real love for dogs. And on the subject of dogs, what happened to the glass Bonzo head? The beads you find are tiny treasures. I love the designs of objects from the 1920s.

You CAN use those dolls' eyes in doll heads without glue. Most are put in with putty, anyway. You just put them in place, then cover the whole back of the eye and around it with putty. No damage.
