@@7OwlsWithALaptop Stuff like words changing in the context of what is said, like how "exactly" is "genau" but it can be different in some sentences/phrases. The different voices and accents help with not sounding like im reading a script when trying to speak German

It always kills me when they break out singing or quoting a meme in English. When I was in Spain, a group of boys sitting next to me on the subway started singing the Rock’s theme song. I joined in and we all laughed really hard. Memes and music are such great ways to transcend language barriers and remind us of our shared humanity.
whenever you guys spoke english is was like a slap in the face because it suddenly went from "I can get a vague idea of what their saying without the captions" to "I speak that what the hell"
@@abcd-mo5moenglish is such a gigantic language with so many links to other languages that a lot of native speakers dont interact with other Germanic languages much, i remember having to triple-take when i found out the german word for birth control or how "belgian is not a race" is said in dutch.
@@abcd-mo5mo yeah that's exactly why I made this comment, I can understand very little german but there are some words I know (the one I know best is "und" lmao) it was just so funny that just when my attention had drifted away from the video they started speaking english and I almost didn't realize at first

I speak German as my mother tongue and finished school with an English level of C1, so I can understand and speak English quite fluently with a few occasional hiccups :D
