my guess is that season 4 is generally lower quality so some fans decided to leave then and ever since they've just decided that EVERYTHING post-dan is bad, even though he was brought back, which they'd know if they actually liked the show instead of complaining.

@@nifemi_o Oh no, I agree that Frankie and Elroy (and to a lesser extent Buzz Hickey before him) were worthy successors to Shirley and Pierce. It's the weird decision to split up Troy's niches in the group between Annie as Abed's closest friend and Chang as the dingbat I can't get behind.
