SO MUCH. I didn't read the video title and hit play while busy then popped into room at 3:30, and it took me forever to figure out Trixie wasn't doing a super long impression of her mom.
I stan Val so fully and completely in every single way. She is so laidback and accepting, no wonder Trixie says she doesn’t have anxiety or depression, miss Val was NOT cultivating an environment for that GAD, mama
They had a horrible relationship for ages tho, its been a few years they got close, Trixie talks about it in her documentary. Val wasnt a homophobe, but Trixie was brought in a pretty toxic home growing up, alcoholic homophobe step father who would humiliate her all the time, Trixie was sent by childcare to live with her grandparents when she was like 15. Trixie not having mental health issues is a miracle, not a product of the way she was raised tbh lmao I'm glad she was able to forgive and heal their relationship.
I was so grateful that Trixie and her mom talked about the relationship between Natives, religion, mental health and culture. As an indigenous person, it truly spoke to me.
As a mom, I CAN NOT understand how you can love your child one day, they tell you they are gay and you treat them horribly. My hear breaks for all those young people who struggle. Hugs to all
Katya didn't call in from California to pick Val's brain and pry about what a terror Trixie was as a child???? r.i.p. hopes & dreams I hope we get Pat on the pod too
I grew up on the menomonee reservation in wisconsin with my mom and it was one of the best and worst experiences of my life. The people feel so hurt and betrayed by what was done to them by America that they hurt themselves unintentionally. It's beautiful and there are so many beautiful souls in the Rez it is also a swamp if toxicity
I'm from East Tennessee and I had absolutely no idea what Menards was and had never even heard of it til I met my boyfriend who moved here from Illinois lmao.
Literally every single day I open the YT app and search "Trixie Mattel" and scroll through tryinng to find anything I haven't watched already. So it's great when new stuff gets posted. It's getting more and more difficult to find videos I haven't already seen. It's so crazy cause I just discovered her a couple of months ago. I had never watched Drag Race, or heard of most of the queens. But for some reason the Trixie watching the God Honoring Make Up video kept popping up in my feed. I finally watched it, and my whole world changed that day!
She rocks and so does Katya I love them both if you haven’t watched drag race until now maybe go to their season and give that a go! Honestly I’ve watched drag race since I was really young my big sister showed me the first season and I fell in love and new Rupaul from the movies and always loved her ! Highly recommend
@@Visarealgirl oh I've watched all of the seasons now! I couldn't watch the first couple of seasons though. That season one filter, yikes! Also, yes I LOVE Katya too. Trixie, Katya, Jinxx and Dela are my favorites!!
I love this story . Right on. We all had a similar moment with gay culture I’m sure... that moment of finding something you love and the journey of deep diving into what it is. Love it 🌸✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
@@luh9305 I've watched Moving Parts and the Skinny Legend special. Omg, in moving parts when she goes "I miss Katya" and then goes on to talk about how and why she misses her. Then later when Katya is back and they are sitting there holding hands watching a video on a phone. I cry everytime I see those parts lol.
I am the funniest RU-vidr of all time I watched my latest video and laughed for 69 minutes straight I am extremely funny I am dangerously funny and I have two girlfriends who think I am extremely dangerously funny and they watch all of my videos thanks for listening dear ha
I think she had a really good support system, and she did get out to go live with her grandparents, which not every kid in that situation gets that chance
I love this episode-it's awesome to hear the obvious love and respect between mother and son. Also, that Trixie and Mom have the same chuckle? Perfect.
I feel like people that grew up with accents that try and shed them as they grow up kind of revert to them when theyre talking to someone with the same accent. i think its just because its something that theyre comfortable with so it comes out and they dont realize it...
I have to say, of all the guests this pod has hosted before, Trixies Mom has got it going on! 💘 Love her laugh, and I love how you two are together! I’m close with my mom and she and I have talked this way for years and it made me realize we aren’t that “odd” after all 💋
My college roommate has osteoarthritis and when she took edibles (I was the only one not on drugs in the room), she said her body didn't hurt anymore and that she felt really light. She waited three hours to feel anything though.
I goddamn love you Val. This was eerily like listening to my own mother, they are so dang similar, it's just so lovely. Happy Mother's day to you! ❤️🧡💛
I once got EXTREMELY high while smoking weed from a steamroller pipe and tried to shop at Kroger to get ingredients for dinner and felt like I was walking in sand. I kept hitting my friend with the shopping cart because I couldn’t feel my body or even where my body was in relation to everything else. hahaha
I tried to keep up with friends that were way more frequent smokers one time and go to the arcade, and when the time came to walk to the car, it felt like it took an hour and that like EVERYONE could tell and was gonna call the cops. Obv I didn't drive, lol, I sat in my car with the a/c off and called my friend (having already driven off) to make them come back lmao
Omg PLSSS have Stoner mom back on with katya for a episode about Marijuana this was such an amazing episode and it's amazing to see how well you guys get along
Legal contracts and briefs are written in archaic language because when words get used in common every day situations, the words meaning changes slightly over time. So the meaning of the contract would change. Obviously the entire point of a contract is to create a solid , unchangeable record of an agreement. By using words where the meanings are old and established and rarely used, the word meaning does not change and the legal document retains its original intent. No matter who reads it (some people might have to look up some words) the understanding will be the same. Counterintuitive as it may seem.
No, it’s mainly just tradition and lawyers trying to sound smart by using legalese. Some phrases are legal terms of art, but words like “hereby,” “heretofore,” etc. don’t actually do anything special that a regular word can’t do. It’s totally possible to draft a legally sound contract in modern, concise English. I’m a law student and just finished my final for modern transactional drafting lol
