Someone did a thermal experiment vid on gold vs exhaust wrap on fb. Intake temps with the exhaust wrap was more than a few degrees better than the gold!
Exactly . Material and thickness. That's the difference between new and old school of tuners. My philosophy is OLD SCHOOL. that's why I stick to multilayer multi material.
Wouldn’t the exhaust wrap on the intake make the heat stay in the intake pipe? That’s why people use it on exhaust so the heat stays in the exhaust. Wouldn’t gold or silver tape reflect the heat and lower temps the best?
Keeps it out . By material and thickness. but there's better methods and that's what I'm changing. But not putting on gold tape😂 there's other wraps / blankets for this task. Gold is just tacky.
