Scenario travels through Khûd Zagin, one of the regions coming to the game with the Legacy of Morgoth expansion! More details soon. Join us every Wednesday at 2pm Eastern on Twitch.tv/LOTROstream for these Legacy of Morgoth previews!
If you had told me years ago that I would eventually be able to traverse a desert in LotRO, I would laugh. Time flies, and the game is still going strong. Dear Scenario, and everyone involved, Thank You.
I really like the idea behind the nomad elves and I love seeing all the different cultures present in these zones. Especially seeing how they have influenced eachother! Excited to explore it for myself!
The sandstorm weather effect is really nice. It adds a lot more atsmophere to the zone. Honestly lotro deserves a revamped and more dynamic weather system in general. But even with the current tech it looks visually impressive. Also HEDGEHOG CULT RISE UP!
And that is even without the dust effects that should be coming later! It's kind of crazy how some things like duststorms can change the feel of a zone. I really loved the waves in the Shield Isles and in Umbar for that reason.
@@uch-gwirod indeed! Weather and lighting along with a good skybox (day file) is the best way to get good atmosphere in a region. I'm actually impressed with what they accomplished here
I'd love to see Lothlorien, when Arwen returns to it after Galadriel and the rest of the Elves have left it. Seeing it no longer in it's prime, and Galadriel's ring no longer effecting the region. Would be interesting. But we probably won't get to see that in Lotro. Edit: Only mentioned this because of around the 49:00 to 50:00 minute mark.
Im confused, most of us are on the 64 bit legendary servers. Will our only option to play the expansion be to play on the much worse performing free servers? or will the free servers be updated to 64 bit once this expansion releases?
64-bit isn't likely for the Main Servers anytime soon. Also the Devs have talked about 64-bit and that won't make things fully better on the Main Servers either. Angmar & Mordor have a few other things, especially a whole lot less overall data, which has helped performance. The Main Servers are much older, far more data, and will require more work to improve performance.
This look amazing! Very exciting too, but lets hope the player base never reaches more than 200 players per server. The legendary server Mordor had managed to kill Nazgul event only once since the server is up following with 1h server crash and only 50 people on server can do it due to layers but thats if server does not crash.... Truly tragic for the great and beautiful game...
They don't seem like they are in a rush for Lindon. It's main story purpose for the Lord of the Rings is the Grey Havens and the "end" of many things. Not to say they'll use such for the end of LOTRO but that's what it's more tied to as a narrative device.
This looks amazing. I've been so happy and so impressed since the new direction/release window started a few years back! I'm so glad to see more and more of this!
Please give me more Forochel. Make it a small update. Make it trash housing. I'll throw 5k at the store. The update looks great, but you said the F word and I got triggered. Please, SSG, you're my only hope. I'll take an ice festival. C'mon. Gimmie my fix.
Great, bringing a lot of memories back to me. I stopped playing it long ago due to work, study, and family. However, the moment when I was playing with my dear friends, it was so much fun and happy time. I will never forget the period. Significantly, LOTRO changed my life because those friends in the game motivated me to pay attention to my health issue, which was that I was highly overweight, around 250 lbs but only 66 inches.
