@@FatSnorlax Index is the main series, but Railgun also works as a standalone series. I would go for chronological watch order which is Railgun 1 -> Railgun S -> Index I -> Index II -> Railgun T -> Index III; and Accelerator somewhere after Index I, simply because Railgun S is basically a far better done version of an arc that is also in Index I, so I would watch that first.

Anime Fan Channel LiSA sings a lot of themes so you would have to be more specific. If it’s Demon Slayer’s OP you’re talking about, I can’t say it’s one of my favourite OP themes ever, but I live for her vocals in general. I consider it a spinoff because the original source material (the light novels) is Index (not Railgun or Accelarator). Both Railgun and Accelarator mangas are spinoff series in my eyes, and their anime are adaptations of said spinoffs. Index anime is the only one actually adapting the novels. Though, it's doing a terrible job at it because it's adapting way too much at a way too fast pace (certain arcs were so rushed, they barely made any sense to anyone who didn't read the novels).

So in for this. Fripside being Fripside and great animation makes a damn good OP. Even though it's a hard break from Index events, this arc is damn great too. Can't wait to see how they do it in the anime.

What I love the most is how it feels like it could've aired just after Railgun S. The song, style, and animation are pretty spot on to what that was like in 2013, and a decade since the first season aired! I've come to love this more than the cluster*uck that is Index. I love this show!

To be fair, Touma looks more badass in the Railgun spinoff than in his own damn series. It's mostly due to the fact that he's more "mysterious" in the Railgun show. He just shows up randomly and pulls off impossible feats. He's even got an urban legend talking about him in the Railgun show: "the man who has the ability to neutralize any ability" which Kuroko describes as ridiculous bullshit that can't exist.

If I had to guess with how much they inaccurately portrayed Accelerator vs Touma is probably why they didn't in an attempt to hide it. Just hope the don't ruin Touma Vs Thor as if they do ruin those two rounds not much you can do to save yourself.

Railgun is being adapted from a manga which is easier than adapting a light novel like Index in which most of the storytelling is done through narration which the anime unfortunately cut or did a poor job at adapting.

From this op it looks like they're trying to actually do justice for Toumas character in the anime adaption *IMPOSSIBLE* (Really hope if New Testament gets adapted we'll have his development, especially in NT S3 when "that" emotional moment happens with Touma as it uses his character development to help push it, from what it seems they tried to do it a bit in S3 but it didn't work too well since its the 3rd season and knowing how rushed it was, but season 3 is still the closest to the light novel version aside maybe Railgun S)

If i had to recommend to going a way, i'd say watch railgun s to see the story of the clones and misaka, since its her side they go way more in depth i have to say though that it can get filled with tropes so it depends on you if you like or if you can tolerate it

im glad that railgun is back, though im more disappointed that they didnt put more effort into index 3, granted, lets see how this one runs but damn, give the a tiny smidge of this op animation and we already would have a better show
