I study computer science and want to have physics as my minor subject later in the university and I tell you, I'm preparing myself for a lot of dead brain moments. 'Cause right now I also struggle with programming mainly because I don't like when I don't know how to do stuff and I procrastinate on programming assignments a lot but well, sometimes you have to go through not beautiful moments. my notes are pretty thorough bc i basically write my thought process down as I read through the chapters. That's just how I process information. Ideally, I'd prefer reading a pdf and anotating cause it saves a lot of time, but we have to use an interactive textbook for my OS class so that's not possible :(

I don't use much colors when writing the notes. I pretty much exclusively use the black pen and use some underlining/squigly lines to separate the sections, but I keep the highlighting + other colors for whenever I go back to quickly review or add some extra info. Sometimes, I'll use some orange to write down a crucial piece of info tho, but that's pretty much it. The action of writing down my thoughts as I read is how I process info, so I only really care about organizing info in a way that makes sense for me. Hope this helps!!
