She was and so lovely to see her do this, nice to see them feeling comfortable but she did finally start moving around and went for an explore as well.
Wonderful video. Tessa sure has grew into a big girl and very nice talk about Tessa. Interesting information on enclosure cleaning and your routine on doing so. She was quite happy and chill to sit there and watch you do all the work while she sits on her throne in there 😂😂It's nice you are getting the chance to spend more time with them and doing what you love 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! still getting there but at least l see them everyday now by getting down there, even if they are all curled up sleeping the day away on me LOL
Tessa has grown into a lovely thicc lady! my bitiest snake is my smallest, and oldest, Lilith my Woma. She's my newest and I bought her a few months ago knowing she was very food driven. Likewise I've met Woma's who as lovely and know people are friends, not food, but the strong food drive is also a common aspidites trait.
Same for the Liasus group, so food driven, its about once out they know but in their enclosures not so good. Bit like a Retic, food first then manners last LOL
Lol…Tessa didn’t look like she wanted to move a muscle. How is everyone getting along in their new home? If they have adjusted, did it take long? When we moved last June all of my kiddos were nervous, but as soon as we got them settled back into their familiar enclosures and they started seeing more of me they seemed to relax. My special needs girl was especially anxiety ridden, but would calm down when I spent time in the snake room.
Tessa never wants to move, l generally have to give her a bit of a nugde LOL. They seem to have all settled and l fed them a couple of days afer the move, l think they feel better knowing therei is food here too. None seemed to be bothered by the move, l think l was mostly. l was so stressed wondering if they would be okay myself. 😀
my biggest snek, Girlfriend, is similar with food to Tessa, she is almost always hopeful that there will be food, but unless there are prey items in the room, she knows the difference between me and food. Girlfriend gets hopeful for food whenever I change water, or am moving things around the side of the shelves, or sometimes when I've opened the freezer.
They sure are smart enough to know food time or not, if they dont then the person around them has not spent time teaching them at all. Of course some species are more likely to say food no matter what you do but not our carpets.
@@Gottalovecarpetpythons my jungles don't bite or strike unless it's food time, or unless I've annoyed Ziggy too much in her enclosure. I tell Girlfriend it's not food time by opening her enclosure and giving her a boop or letting her smell me, I don't do this if there are rats in the room (even in another snakes enclosure) or thawing somewhere else in the house. Ziggy is the perfect example or a cage defensive snake that doesn't strike or bite, she's only face slapped me once in the last two years, and that was after she gave me many huffs telling me to leave her alone
I don't know about you, but Fluffy will pee a tiny urate whenever I deep clean her enclosure, because it doesn't smell like her anymore. my girl Lilith poops in her favourite cave/hide and sleeps with it, though I suppose that's what Woma's would do in the wild
l am taking a real guess but having their scent around them is what they like to do. Cant compare them to my cats really but the moment l clean out their kitty litter they jump in and use it. Womas l dont know a lot about though a sepcies l would like to have oneday, guess they like to be around their scent, seems they like the comfort of their smell.
oh yeah, I'm also half convinced that Fluffy thinks she's a dog and needs to mark her territory. She's my loveliest and dumbest snek, though tells me when she wants to come out for some time in the hang out spot or to go to the toilet. Ironically apart from the small urates to scent her house, she prefers to go to the toilet out of her enclosure, or if she goes in her enclosure she lets me know I need to clean it too.
Yep poop is another thing altogether, none of mine like it in their enclosure and cant get out fast enough. There is walking and running and they may not have legs but l see the difference in pace.
@@Gottalovecarpetpythons perfect. Thanking you. I have my young Imbricata coming to me next Saturday 😁 Just getting everything setup and prepped. Little bit concerned with temps. As my house had 33 - 35* temps on walls and benches. The small tub enclosure didn’t have a gradient temp where cooler end should be. Maybe only by 3 - 4* cooler. And that’s without the heat mat turned on. WA summers are hot. Thank you again, another great video.
