The water in the pond is spring water. The rain and snow that fell on Mt. Fuji have sprung up in that pond after many years. The water is very clean and delicious.
Koi are smart compared to other fish. Not only will they recognize frequent visitors to their pond, but many Koi learn to recognize their own name, and will respond when called. After significant changes to their pond, (plants moved, water features added/removed etc.) One may see Koi jumping out of the water. This isn't an attempt to "escape", but most likely the Koi are looking to determine if they've been moved to a new location, or if their old pond was just remodeled.
😱 oh my gosh.. it’s no wonder they’re treated with such respect and so rarely eaten then! Aside from the fact that I’ve heard they don’t taste great/ are v. boney.. I always wondered if fish are as stupid as they’re claimed to be, though. My dad was convinced the fish in our pond at home were more like cats with the way they behaved for food and if we went away on holiday and left them with block food (they were *not* fans of block food 😅).
@@OshareJapan We humans underestimated several animals. Covids (crows and related) are able to solve multi-step puzzles for a food reward. They can infer solutions based on similar puzzles. They recognize human faces and hold grudges! They are somehow able to warn other crows about specific humans that have been mean to them (researchers used masks to conduct their study). Don't get me started on Octopuses and how their very unique brain works - their camouflage alone is an adaptation that rivals the development of eyes. Dogs have it figured out. They don't work a single day they don't want to, but we humans pay for their medical care, food shower them with love and affection. Dogs were in orbit, enjoying those views of Earth before any humans!
Animals are amazing. I found out recently that even bees can be trained to play football 😭❤️. Crows (especially the big Japanese ones) equally terrify and amaze me though haha
@@OshareJapan Chimps outperform humans on a "working memory" test. They aren't just better at this test, they are WAY better than us at this type of memory. Brace yourself: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zsXP8qeFF6A.html
Since having been isolated for so long, It's so nice to be walking around people, isn't it? I actually missed people watching, haha. Walks are so enjoyable when you can look at pretty landscapes. It seems you have scored the best food find possible on that trip! P.s. Really love that new intro you guys have!
It is so beautiful, why do I feel even when you go away from the well known places you can find equally amazing spots in Japan. ❤️ Also I just realised I am probably going to get stung a lot as unless there is English on the sign or very obvious pictures I will be oblivious 🤦♀️
I don’t know if it’s me getting old and grumpy, but I feel like the lesser known places is so much more amazing? (Although this place is apparently normally overrun by tourists 😰) It’s just nice that there seems to be something interesting everywhere you look, even if it’s small stuff like a local shrine or the roadside veggie stalls haha And please don’t get stung 🙈 the hornets are big and noisy enough to be a warning in themselves hopefully!!
@@OshareJapan the few holidays I had as a child, my mum would always ask the locals the best places for food and sights. We would see some big tourist but also find the hidden gems. Also the roadside veggies are the best 🥰 I hope so too, as I will cry like a baby
Hola! love your new series. I am looking forward to visiting some of the places you are showing us in the future (could you please share location links in the description? Udon place definitely 😊). I really like how you have edited these videos, they are really fun to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventures ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️ So excited to hear that we’re inspiring journeys! We’re in the process of creating a customized Google Maps map with all of the locations we visit which we’ll be releasing in a blog (hopefully sooner rather than later but that’s solar power dependent 😅🔌) but the links for these locations are in the description now! Thank you for reminding me! ❤️
In July 1987, there was an accident in which two underwater photographers went missing in the 5th pond (Wakuike) of Oshino Hakkai during a TV Asahi program, and their bodies were found five days later. bottom. In the pond, there are countless holes formed by lava flowing from Mt. Fuji, and it seems that he had an accident in one.
They can be really aggressive and their stings have been known to be fatal (they’re called killer hornets in English) 😰. But one sting is unlikely to kill you unless you have an allergy, it’s the swarms you need to look out for!
