DJ Mix recorded on June, 2023 on the island of Florianópolis in southern Brazil
I know you all listen to the mixes I post on this channel in various ways. I receive videos on Instagram of people listening at home, at work, in restaurants, bars, barbecues, even trying to make babies in the dark of their rooms... I have no control over how the music will be used or the environments it will serve as a soundtrack for. However, that doesn't stop me from having my own visual constructions when thinking about the musical paths to be explored.
For this mix in particular, I found myself wondering: if there is a heaven, a paradise, a place after this life where there is no pain, tears, or suffering... what is that place like? What is my own personal paradise? With that in mind, I imagined myself on a beach during a summer evening, when the sun is setting and it's not so hot anymore. Many people around, treating each other with the respect you give to those you know and share your struggles with. For those who enjoy drinks, there are drinks. For those who enjoy weed, there is weed. For those who enjoy water, there is water... but what about the sound? The sound playing was something similar to today's mix, not because it represents any kind of perfection, but more because it embodies a vibe I would be willing to live in for eternity, like the eternal return of our friend Nietzsche.
