This place has been an institution for years. Lots of fantastic dim sum. You know the food is amazing when all you hear in the background is people speaking Cantonese or Mandarin. Seafood noodles and Beef chow fun and a 10 for siu mai - this is very special place indeed.
Best place in Vegas for dim sum and most Chinese food. Also more affordable than the Strip. Only downside is the place is usually crowded and parking can be a nightmare.
There's some pretty nice dishes there. The Seafood pan fried noodles looked really good. Yep. I believe that was "muk yee". The wood ears. It was my mom's favorite as well as one of mine.
NIce find! Steve is a natural at guest hosting. He even turned down the chicken feet and beef short ribs when the waitress asked. I'm jealous. My father had to work everyday. It was grandma that took my to restaurants in LA Chinatown. Beef chow fun looks wierd with sesame seeds. Parts of that seafood chow mein looked dryer than the desert.
Danny, I agree with Steve that I learned new places to eat in Vegas because of your videos. You are correct on the name of the fungus…it’s very delicious.
Bravo! This was a wonderful video to watch. The commentary from both you and viewer Steve were great and so honest. It was clear when you thoroughly enjoyed a dish, and equally as clear when you thought some dishes were not as good as they could have been. Over all, it looked like the two of you had a pretty good meal, were basically in agreement on your opinions and also enjoyed one another's company. How funny that the restaurant seemed to clear out once you started your video. I wonder why that is? Perhaps they were shy? Perhaps they had simply finished their meal? Oh well, there loss ... they missed out on their opportunity to see the great DTM doing another amazing Food and Travel video, live and in person!!! I would have ordered more dishes just to be able to stay and watch that process! Thanx for another wonderful review (and ordering recommendations), as well as the great video. Honest & fun too! 😊
Hi Danny....the seafood pan fried noodles looked like the bomb...surprised the put in cloud mushrooms and baby bok choy in that dish...the best part is the noodles 😂🙊
Danny, it would be so exciting if you would try all of these beautiful dishes where they were originally created and compare them to the ones we make here in the U.S.
i took a bus from the strip too on a very hot day and went to hong kong garden seafood instead. i passed by new asian bbq after the meal and regret not going there but it was my last day in vegas. hk garden seafood was good though and the bok tong gau was the best i've had since i was a kid. only wished i ordered two plates of it.
I have alotta videos, I know you cant watch them all looking for the good bcf.. here is one example of a good one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CeP6XlnvxmA.htmlsi=VLlrtDyRd9LkoWIm
Do they take reservations here? The finger tap..my grandma told me when royalty used to go into the community and they would drink tea poured for them, finger tap signified thank you so as not to give away who they were.
@@dannythemedic It;s def not any part of a Chicken. It could be a Cloud Ear, true. I don;t like chicken feet either Taste like rubber.but very chickeny rubber😄
So, you didn't try the BBQ at the New Asian BBQ. Interesting. To me that's like going to a steak house and ordering fish or going to a sushi bar and ordering teppanyaki. Maybe next time you go there you could order the BBQ 3 combo platter. Thanks for the review. I like your style and the precision with which you evaluate each item. You are very entertaining. 😆
I used to go here, but now they got the business, they getting so cocky, specially the woman wearing glasses at the front, I don’t care how good their BBQ, I’m not gonna let them treated me like I’m working for them. NEVER GO BACK
So asian of you..ordering the more expensive thing over something that for sure is good although cheaper....😂😂😂 ..that's what my grandma does - buffet ..is all crab legs 😂😂😂😂
When Steve asked if you wanted to try chicken feet you shook your head like Jerry Seinfeld did in "The Pie": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f27Yzpz7cMg.html
My yelp 2-star review of New Asian BBQ from last summer -- "First time here thanks to some 'rockstar' RU-vidr's recommendation. Horrible dim sum by L.A.'s San Gabriel Valley standards. The steamed dumplings (har gow, chive & shrimp) have very thick wrappers; the xiao long bao pork dumpling smells bad like it's frozen; steamed short ribs are tough and chewy. At least the Oolong tea is decent and service good. Pretty pricy given the sub-par food quality." GUYS, come to L.A. if you want to experience the best dim sum and Chinese food 🤗
Guest Steve, good flow, *complete sentences & no fishing hat!* Hey Danny, you're trying to throw your audience off or what? btw, I tried using the table-finger tapping when I want my wife to stop talking but it never works..she just gives me the one finger salute. ok, ok, *Food & Travel.*
