As someone who is currently running A Christmas Carol at her work (I'm a theatre technician!), I sincerely appreciate this soap. I'm gonna have to show our Marley this, he'll love it. Awesome soap theme choice!!
Would love a clip of Shelly making the embeds , she does such a great job of them . You can really tell she puts a lot of time and effort into them . Well done Shelly ⭐️
Oh my goodness she picked my design!!!! 😲😱😊I cant believe it! Katie you did an AMAZING job, to the T. Thank you! I was watching a disney movie with mom when I saw I was picked. I screamed so loud lol she told me I scared the living days out of her lol. Thanks katie! ❤
Reading tip from an English major: listen to Audible while reading assignments. You can speed up the track so it is the maximum your brain can process and follow along in your paper book and mark quotes in your book all at the same time (pausing when necessary). Takes some practice but I can read 2-3 full books a week with this method!
@@laura101cookies Same. Sound is just background noise to me. I NEED to read something. It's not going to stick in my head otherwise, it's just blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah.... My aunt has been sending me audio books for 30 years, and I just end up donating them.
@@labella9291 If you get a PDF of your book you can use a program to read it out loud and see it at the same time. It's the robot automated voice but it really helps to speed up reading. Super useful for notetaking.
i do this and it makes the process go by so much faster and i actually remember what the book is about. when i read something i often can’t remember what i read bc i get distracted or tired.
That soap idea was brilliant! I love Tim Curry and his voice but i bet Kenny would also be good at reading audibooks because his voice is very unique (apart from the fact it sometimes sounds exactly like Caleb X-D )
I totally agree. Can I has one of those voices that he would know anywhere. Kind of like The Actor James Earl Jones, Or the singer Barbra Streisand. Voices that you just know. Kenny would be awesome doing something like that period if anybody wants to see Kenny reading books for audible say yay!!!
Muppet Christmas Carol was my mom’s favorite movie... we’d watch it every year. I’m making my husband watch it with me this year. Miss her and all of our muppet carol inside jokes
I really want to see a non sped up soap process or maybe a timer in the bottom corner so we can see how long the whole thing takes from mixing to spritzing.
The ghost of Christmas Present 🌲 Agree one million times over. a Muppet Christmas Carol is and always will be my absolute favorite version. I've watched it half a dozen times this season already. Muppets rule! I was born in 1974, so the Muppets hold a special place in my heart 💕
I'm absolutely blown away by the chain imbeds! I'd LOVE to see Shelly at work. She doesn't need to be on camera; it's her process I'm interested in. SUCH fantastic work!
Katie is a super cheerful person and so is Kenny. You just can’t help but smile. Y’all just love being your goofy selves and it’s perfect. Love y’all ❤️
And the Royalty Soaps upload fairy blesses us again! Thanks, team! You always inspire us when we’re doing our videos and we love you! Is it still okay to send some of our soaps to your PO Box? I know you don’t do the Royal Reviews anymore but we’d love to show you what we’ve made in being inspired by you to finally start our business this year!
Omg I'm 40 and I still love watching the Muppet Christmas Carol with my 10 year old son. It's one if our top Christmas movies we watch every year. Love this soap!!
Our favorites are the one with Patrick Stewart and the Disney animated version with Jim Carrey. The Muppets version is dear to my heart, as well. "Light the lamp, not the rat!!"
Love this soap! Yes, the Muppet Christmas Carol is the best version, and I love that you used their versions of the Christmas spirits for the question of the day, lol. The ghost of Christmas Present is also my favourite because he's so big and jolly.
I remember I was in a play version of that and I played ebinizer's ghost. I was covered with baby powder and jumped out from behind a tombstone to scream.
Love this fan design! I adore you and Kenny, you inspired me to start making soap and it quickly went from a hobby to a small business and has changed my life for the better. I'm so glad I stumbled on your page a couple years ago it's been a real joy to watch you create. I am always stalking RU-vid on upload days waiting for your videos, you and Kenny are the best!
YES! The Muppet version is ABSOLUTELY the best version. The man who plays Scrooge is by far my favorite Scrooge. The music is fantastic. And who doesn't love the humor of the Muppets? Wherever you find love it feels like Christmas is the best song in the movie, and yes Christmas present is by far the best ghost he's contagiously happy like Katie.
The 1984 version of A Christmas Carol is my favourite along with the Disney (Scrooge McDuck etc) version. Those two are absolutely necessary to make my christmas a good christmas hahaha
🎼🎤There goes Mr. Humbug, there goes Mr. Grim! If they gave a prize for bein’ mean, the winner would be him! 😂 I love the amulet Christmas Carol so much. Muppet Christmas Carol & Muppet Treasure Island are the best movie adaptations of those books bar none!
Your family is like a whole team an that is so awesome! Your family is so sweet and I think it’s so awesome that you could turn your hobby into somewhat of a cAreer (don’t know if you have another job?) but you’re awesome Katie
That is an awesome soap! So different 😃 My complements to the designer too! And might I also add that this is an excellent candidate for glow in the dark mica in the ‘ghost swirls’?
Katie, Its soooo cool and simplistic to have oil drums your soap workshop is shoap shop goals! I wouldn't even know how to go about getting drums myself.
I want to thank you and Kenny and your entire family, not only do I love your soap and your videos, but on days my anxiety and or depression is getting the best of me I watch your videos and it is so calming and helpful to me ❤️ you all are amazing
This video came out just when I needed it. My whisk for my stand mixer went missing and I was sitting here whipping up 4 cups of whipped cream by hand...but then you pulled out your handy dandy stick blender, which reminded me, someone gifted me one recently! My arms and my whipped cream thank you!
I was just thinking it would be so cool to make Christmas Carol soap! One for all the ghosts! The Ghost of Christmas Past is my favorite. the one with Patrick Steward was always my favorite too.
I am so sad that I missed this soap, I only found the channel a few months ago. Seriously though, Muppets Christmas Carol is HANDS DOWN the best interpretation of the classic story. A large absent minded spirit is definitely my favorite. So excited to get some soap this year! 💚
There is a Barbie version of the Christmas Carol too. I watched it with my daughter and while it's not exact, it's not bad. My daughter loved it and the "ghosts" were very interesting as well. I loved the future ghost in that one because she wasn't scary but she was that kinda stern but patient motherly type that shows you what you need to see without being too mean about it but just cold enough that you grasp that this is important. I don't really know how else to describe it but definitely check it out with your little ones.
Why yes, I can agree that Muppet Christmas Carol is the best Christmas Carol movie because *yes*. Especially the version that has When Love is Gone. As far as the best Christmas ghost, I'm gonna have to agree with you. Especially in the Muppet version; he's a delight.
you should do a month of all fan designs that fall into a general same category, like if a lot of people submitted flower designs have a month of flower soaps all by your fans!!
I could watch you guys make soap all day lol. My wife has been watching you for the past year and I never really paid attention til recently but now she's got me hooked lol 🧼🎄🎀👻
Katie, that was so cool how you caught that glitter cascading over the top of the soaps, while you were talking. It looked like golden snow falling, and it was Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the great videos, you've always been an inspiration to me and my soap making. I just moved to my new home 2 weeks ago, and opening up my new studio is taking some time . I had been crammed into a small studio for about 3 years, which really made it hard for me to be able to do what I really wanted to do. Now I have a huge 20 by 20 studio and not enough shelves to fill it lol. I can't wait to get my store up and running and creating my own videos. You better watch out Katie, here I come. I could never be as good as you, but I sure can Hope and pray, that I'd become As good as you .. Merry Christmas to you and your family and may you have the happiest of new years. Take care and God-bless Deb
Yay! A soap inspired the on my most favorite Christmas story! I've got the movie in at least 6 different versions on DVD. And the Muppets are definitely my favorite! Love the scene with the penguins sliding around.😂 My entire family is addicted to "a Christmas Carol". So we always watch a few of them at Christmas. The soap turned out amazing!😍 Think you're right about making the gray even darker. It adds to look even more haunted. 👻 Personally I would love to see the gold even look more "golden". Maybe it's the lighting, but the gold looks quite orange in the video. The chains on top are so good! Well done Shelly!
Bought this soap this year and I must say the scent is amazing Katie. It was supposed to be a gift for a friend but I ended up keeping it myself. Hope this soap is on your list for next Christmas as I can highly recommended it. Well done to the person who sent it to you.
I’m basing my answer on the only version I’ve seen, which is Scrooged with Bill Murray. Carol Kane as the sweet, bubbly, and whimsical but very violent Ghost of Christmas Present never fails to make me laugh!
I just watched two Christmas Carol films, one w George C. Scott and one w Albert Finney...while baking w my nieces & nephew. It was a good experience; then I see this!!! :) lol
I love "Tale of Two Cities"! I did a book presentation on that book in middle school. My father built a small guillotine, I dressed up a hot dog and cut off its head, and I got an A!
My favorite version of Christmas Carol is the animated Mickey Mouse one! I remember watching it as a kid as a part of a Disney House of Mouse Christmas special where a bunch of Disney characters got snowed into at theater together
I’m so late on this video but it’s so funny that Kenny is afraid of sleeping beauty. Sleeping beauty is my favorite movie and I even named my daughter Aurora because of it.
Love your soaps. They get more creative every year. My favorite Christmas Carol is the 1938 version. The shopping scene is the best. I’ve always wanted to try a Special Pippins apple.
Binging this channel 3 years later and I gotta say, this is one of my faves so far! Also, I'd like to point out that all through this video Katie has the Santa hat and the mask down on her chin so it looks like his white beard 🤣🤣
A Tale of Two Cities is my favorite Dickens story! I will say it was probably because we got to read the abridged version, but it does have a great plot.
i saw a christmas carol at the local theater as a kid and we were sitting front row. when marley came on he looked directly at me and started slowly walking towards me and 8 year old me freaked out so i jumped 4 seats onto my dad's lap and everyone around us started howling
