Man I still have my copy of this somewhere. Seeing this on Christmas morning was incredible in 2004. Makes me want to find where that stupid loose cartridge went.

Holy shit. They actually gave Samus a death animation for multiplayer instead of turning into a ghost like in the final game.

i remember i used to play metroid prime hunters as a kid on my ds and i would autistically roleplay as being the lightning monster at recess by putting a tube on my arm and pretending it was the autocannon

someone made a mod for this on 3ds where you can play it widescreen with the touch controls mapped to the circle pad. heavily improves the experience.

Those cutscenes looked pretty sick back in 2004. I was thoroughly impressed then!

Remember having this, loved the atmosphere. Never ended up buying any other Metroid game

AVGN but with more cursing and a little funnier. Love it

The DS feels like such a wasted system when it comes to metroid. The handheld would've been literally perfect for a 2D game but they never made one. We got a glimpse of what one could have looked like with Samus Returns but that's not quite the same. I'm a retro shooter fan and i love compressed graphics; Prime Hunters scratches that itch perfectly and it would've been cool to see that artstyle in a game that's actually good and a metroid game.

i had this and it being a demo meant that it was the only game i've ever owned that held a RP rating from the ESRB

I actually happen to have this, i ordered from Gamestop, and they sent me First Hunt instead of the actual game. I did get the real game eventually but it was annoying that it happened.

This introduced me to the metroid series so bad or not i'm not going to complain

I played through this game with cheats on my ttds as a kid, just to see what there was, the fact the final boss had a turbo secret was pretty interesting.

Loved this game when I was a kid, I had two copies and I would play the multiplayer by myself with another ds. I would switch back and forth between both of the ds systems to fight myself lol
