I know he’s scared out of his mind but hearing him screaming and freaking out is just too funny 😂

I went to Disneyland last month with my family. My 24 year old sister wanted a popsicle and they told her to wait a few minutes before eating it because it was stored in dry ice and very cold. She didn’t listen, and in the middle of a conversation with her friends she licks it and gets her tongue stuck. It was hilarious recreation of this scene.

Teacher: Where is Flick? Ralph after leaving his friend stuck to a pole: FIick? Flick *who?*

“Come back! Don’t leave me, come back!” I swear humor in the old days was so damn funny and genuine.

I always lose it when Schwartz goes, "Woah! Geez! It really worked!" Everyone else is horrified that Flick's tongue is stuck, and Schwartz is just giddy with fascination that a person's tongue really can get stuck like that and that his bluff worked.

After watching this movie in the 80's, I swore to never put my tongue on a frozen pole, no matter who tried to pressure me into it.

Watched this movie my first time in maybe 1993, ever since then this has aired every Christmas on TBS from Christmas Eve night until noon Christmas Day. And it never gets old I literally watch the movie 3 or 4 times back to back and enjoy it.

My favorite part is how all of the kids jumped up from their desks to look out the window EXCEPT for the guilty ones. Do you think the teacher had any trouble figuring out who the guilty kids were? :-)

My favorite part of this scene is when everyone gets up to go see out the window with the teacher, except Ralphie and Schwartz, because they already know what’s going on😂

I still remember this movie which I saw when I was 10 back in China. Now I am 40 and my kids were born in the States. I have realized my dream of coming to the States. I did it!

This movie reminds me of my brothers and I being wrapped up on the floor in some blankets with my parents on the couch behind me during winter break, snow falling outside, coming up for excuses not to go to mass on Christmas and Christmas eve. Being a kid was awesome.

I watch this every year! It's a ritual...lol! Reminds me of my school and my childhood! Love it! And when he gets that BB gun, I tear up every time! What a great dad!

This was our families FAVORITE Christmas movie. We love love love the restaurant scene at the end with fah ra ra ra rah ra ra ra ra... We laughed til we cried every time. 🎵🎵🎵🎶 It sure is a great family memory. Love & laughter!

This movie never gets tiring, I adore it.

I bet Flick will never look at a flagpole the same way again.

While I was watching a Christmas story the other day, it just kind of reminded me of something back from when I was a kid. When we wanted these really cool Hess trucks for Christmas right, our parents or one of our relatives had to walk or drive there to hess's gas station and buy them for us. Those hess's toy trucks are so cool even the newer ones too. Good times and great memories, for sure.

I saw a documentary on the DVD of A Christmas Story that said how they did this scene. The flagpole was hollow and they had suction inside of it. The place where flick put his tongue on it was a hole, and the suction kept it in place to make it appear like it was stuck.
