I love in this version that Marley takes Scrooge to Hell after the Ghost of Christmases to come is done with him I thought that was an excellent addition

I've read and reread A Christmas Carol and I think this is one of the finest versions put to screen. Yes it's true that it isn't a word for word, scene for scene by the book portrayal but what it is, so close to what Dickens' was trying to make people see. The songs are wonderful, the costume well designed. I have different copies of this and am glad to watch it a couple times a year. Happy that others gat as much joy from it as I do.

Why do you cut the opening credits off of the movies you show? It makes it hard to know the title etc.

What a shame so much dialogue is lost when the sound cuts out because this is such a great movie. ☹

I like watching all the different versions of A Christmas Carol. Over christmas (It's so Christmasesy). My number one is this one 1970, then Alistair SIMs version, 1951, then George C. Scott 1984. Then the muppet's Christmas Carol.1992 Which is now all free on RU-vid. HAPPY DAYS I like the word "free" 🇬🇧

It’s been a couple years since they played this movie on Turner classic movies for the holidays. I don’t understand why they stop showing it for the holidays. I hope show it in December.

Scrooge's chain was very big. But that was not cash boxes and keys like Marley's chains.

They would cut the ending scene when Scrooge would go down under to face his fate not until years later did I get to see the entire film absolutely wonderful film great acting and singing
