This is a beautiful scene for me not only because of the way Austin looks at her but the way Carter looks at her, it's like he's so happy for his best friend.
The way Carter smiles when he sees Sam at 00:42, makes me think of him as the proud "father" she lost. Not sure if it's the right thing to say, but, that scene just gives me this really sweet feeling. :')
Yes, I love that part too. He's happy his best friend is finally getting the spotlight she deserves after so much pain and suffrage. He knows all the things she has gone through and he wants her to finally be happy.
things you need to get this grand entrance: - Beautiful dress - Beautiful body - Be fashionable late so you'll have the staircase all to yourself - Spotlight shining down on you - Don't fall off the stairs
This scene gets me everytime. This has always been my favorite movie and it will always be and it's the same with Hilary. She has always been my role model and particularly in this movie I could identify with her role more than with any other role she ever played. Nostalgia....
I actually went to a College Party wearing a White Wedding Gown. Later on the day. Still getting messages of me being referred as the Cinderella at the Party. Truly Best Day of My Life ♡♡♡
Yes. I wish Carter would’ve gotten together with her instead of Austin. While he wasn’t as a bully like his friends and Shelby, he was too spineless to defend Sam when Shelby was humiliating her at the pep rally.
Been 12 years since I first watched the movie and somehow I could never forget this scene.. I guess we all want to have a prom like this...or enter a ball this way and meet the Charming prince...
One of the best things about this scene is Carter looking at her like a proud mum when she comes down the stairs, his smiles like “go get em girl” - get you a friend like him 🙌🏽
I'm a year late on this, but I didn't even get to go to my prom. Lol A little sad, but like the other guy said, life can be disappointing, but not all the time. Lol
Same!! Her at the top of the stairs with that song in the background and looking so gorgeous and magnificent in that dress!! My 10 year old self was screaming then and my now 23 year old self still is
Last saturday I had my quinceanera party and I came down the stairs with this song. I really love this song and that moment was pretty special for me bc I watched the movie as a child, it's one of my favorites.
Ah I love love love this part of the movie. Nearly what every bratty popular girl will never get is this kind of reaction in a room. A long stares of Starstruck!
It's soo cute how Austin is Both instantly drawn to sam and how he is speechless about how gorgeous she looks when she decends the grand staircase dressed in that gorgeous wedding gown.
I remember watching this movie as a little girl and watching Sam walk in Rhonda’s wedding dress with that epic entrance. I wanted that so bad… I’m getting married this summer and my entrance to my ceremony is a staircase just like this. 🥹 I get to live out my Cinderella story dreams❤️
I've looked at many wedding dresses when I once tried to plan a wedding that never happened... And none of them ever gave me that feeling. This one, and still to this day, gives me chills when I see it on her... That's how I knew it was the one if that day ever does come I'm going to commission a designer to duplicate this for me as close to the original as possible... Love Monique Lhuillier.
Nothing can beat early 2000s soundtracks.... These days films are too reliant on scores and sometimes cheesy (not in the good way) songs.... Gone the glorious days of pop-rock music blaring everytime the main character enter a room or hallway.
Yesss thx for making me cry again this reminds me of the old days I miss those precious moments plus I was watching this film with my siblings brought me to tears lol my childhood!😭😆
The way Austin looks at her is literally everything any girl could ever want😭❤️✨he look damn fine in that costume too 😂 I love it cause I’m sure after seeing her he was hoping she was but he technically didn’t know if she was Princeton girl so he was genuinely like “my god...she’s beautiful “✨❤️
Fell in love with a girl in 2004. She was a big fan of Hilary Duff we used to watch Lizzie McGuire. I remember we watched this movie as well. I miss her we had so much fun together. That one hurt.
Even up to this day I'm still getting chills and goosebumps from this movie especially this scene. I feel like I'm a little girl squealing out of my throat Lol! Hillary Duff's so beautiful and I miss this kind of movies with it's simple storyline that makes you wanna squeal and get goosebumps
Will always be my favorite movie of all time, the so called "outcast" whether it be in society or schools are the realist genuine people you'll ever meet
