So I find myself in Tatra Mountains, which is a place I have visited so many times in the last 15 years, and somehow this one is one of the more emotional shoots. I thought I’d write a little longer caption and share my thoughtgs with you all, although the IG character limit is way to short.
You see, with me was this lovely Florett silver 2024 Audi R8 V10 Performance quattro. The R8 in general is a car that has been so important for Audi in the past 20 years since the Le Mans concept in 2003. This design right here may be 9 years old by now, but still everybody are looking. Everybody. Small kids are pulling their parents hands, when the first HEAR the R8 approach from far, and then they see it. I’ve spent two days with this car now and I almost forgot what a cult car this is. For example I drove passed a school as I finished my sunrise shoot, and probably over 100 teens took our their phones to snap a photo, like they saw an UFO.
And when I see all this, I get so emotional and sad. Because this is what a proper car is. This right here. The sound, the looks, the quality, and the Audi rings in the front. This car put Audi on the map for real. And it should never ever be discontinued. The people that care about this car at Audi, should have done everything in their power to keep this model running. Make a 3rd generation, put a hybrid in it, or do whatever you can to at least keep it in production a few years more. But for God sake, dont discountinue it! It’s just wrong.
How much this car means to so many people, it should be kept alive. And this is coming from a person whos been in the game for soon two decades. That’s just my two cents. Thank you
