Thanks for you reviews sir! I think my pine tar is a love/hate soap, most people love it (my best seller) but some hate it. The essential oil that’s throwing you the liquorice vibe is the basil, there’s only an inkling of spearmint in there to soften out the top. Thanks for your honesty in reviewing this, the deodorant is a similar but slightly altered scent profile as I have added ginger and clove to make up for the absence of the smokiness of the pine tar. The pine tar grew on me too. I really didn’t like it at first because I hate black licorice but I kept using it and you start picking up the other oils and it tames the licorice smell. The deodorant is amazing works so much better than squatch and it doesn’t stain your shirts
I can see that, I don’t think it was terrible by any means, but for whatever reason it just didn’t click. Now, the Ice is a really fantastic eucalyptus soap dude. I highly recommend that one if like eucalyptus and peppermint soaps!
The reason we distil the water before using it is to remove any unwanted bacteria or any other contaminants which will affect the quality and stability of the soap. Helps the soap last longer and be more consistent. You’d be amazed what’s left behind after distillation!
