the stitching on his shoulder is from the second mad max movie where a raider whith a bear claw gets his hand stuck on max during the final chase scene, the ankle brace is from the first movie when Max is ambushed by Toecutters gang and shot in the knee, also max gets his arm broken when a motorcycle drives over it and he cut his sleeve off to make a sling which is why he doesn't have a sleeve on the right side of his jacket

The leg brace wasn’t to suggest he’s seen some stuff it was to keep his leg from buckling underneath him while walking because he was shot in the knee on that leg
