$10 says the Enterprise "bundle" you unlock after Leyte Gulf mission chain 6 is a $100 - $200 Admiral Pack... Update: Okay, so Killerbin just said in stream that the Enterprise will cost 14,300 doubloons when the bundle is unlocked. That's the standardish going rate for a T8 premium. Good on WG for not being ridiculous, at least concerning the price.

I got super lucky. Was off yesterday and finished all the first missions in one day. Opened my first non premium container and got the Enterprise! Not a big carrier fan, but hey, it was free!!😂

A comment to 6:25 (the comment on the right): Thats not something WG did because they wanted to. 2023 was a EU regulation that had as a result that the Lootdrops had to be shown. Only option would have been not to have those events in EU- Countries as it is in the Netherlands because they prohibided gambling by law. So they are forced to be honest about there drop chances.

They should do these like the marathons in world of tanks....where each stage gets you a discount....so you can play a couple of stages and get a reasonable % off.

Thank you PQ for commenting on this because I felt the same way on how WG is doing this event. I was really excited for the Leyte because of the historical aspect of the Tennessee. The way WG is doing this is just generating bad will with its player base. Even if the ship wasn't free I would be willing to pay $30-50 for the ship by itself. Imagine WG, 3 players paying $50 for the ship is better profit than 1 player paying $98 US. I guess, the only way forward is the "free campaign" and if we get screwed we should remember it. It would be nice to support a company that show good will or ethics instead of this FOMO gambling culture.

He mentions having this type of dispersion at T10, and that is how I feel when I play Satsuma with the funny button. I've only played 40 battles or so in it because you just get so much hate playing a super ship that it isn't fun. That said, hitting the funny button on Satsuma when literally anything goes broadside to you is incredibly satisfying.

I really would like to have the Tennessee because it's my home state, but I'm not paying that much for it... I'll try the mission chain and if I miss it, so be it. I get that WG has to make money, but if I'm going to buy a tier 8, I'd rather pay the typical tier 8 price without the extras. And honestly, I'd rather have tier 8 discounted as well.

Regarding what I want from a battleship, Tennessee is pretty much it. Good, consistent guns that punish broadsides and don't bullshit angled cruisers with overmatch. I am an average player though and some harder missions, I just can't really do. I'm not completely against pay to progress (or buying a ship outright), but I'm 100% not gambling. If I can grind out the campaign, I'd prefer to do so, rather then spending 80€ on a T8 ship with a lot of stuff that, while useful, isn't what I want to be spending money on. I have a 21 point commander for the commander xp and enough premiums to get me all the credits that I need. I also don't want to spend too much money now, as black friday is just around the corner and it'll be my first black friday in WoWs where I have some disposable income. Also, I really don't care about Enterprise. I'm not a CV player, I hate their gameplay and the counter "gameplay", which is just a fully automated system, is just poor game design.

I tried 5 premium containers and only got 5 tokens out of it. With 3 chances for tokens on each container, I would not say it is a reliable source.

I was listening to their stream. It sounded like the enterprise was second to last and the Tennessee was on the last one. BUT it might be an additional chain.

It's interesting that compensation for getting the duplicate Tennessee is in COAL, does it indicate it will be available for coal later? Either way no way I'm buying the admiral pack, I'll either grind it for free or buy it later with a coupon for whatever currency if it's available.

appreciate your forthrightness - subscribed (I'm a casual mostly FTP player, so I rarely attain any of these special ships - but I agree that the explanations WG gave about the Leyte Gulf event are at best vague & confusing - I had to read it several times & still didn't completely get it).

no one like being kept in the dark on anything. this is where anger and frustration come from, yet it seems to be the direction WG has gone lately. they want players with addictions to be rushed/pressured into buying stuff for fear of missing out if the missions get to hard for them.

I have to admit it, but I bought it too. Its a freaky fun ship to play. Im having more fun in this game than I've had in a long time. I paid too much, I know. I live in Tennessee so it's a little sentimental for me. It really is fun to play though. It's strong enough to almost be considered unfair. When its up against tier 10 it can actually compete. Double uptiers with this ship arent as ball breaking either.

My best games were always in the Colorado and New Mexico and those two are shotguns. The accuracy of the Tennasee is what I've wanted but I'm not paying for it. I agree that no BB should outspot a CA/L and no CA/L should outspot a DD. I also assert that no DD should be able to gun down a BB, No CV should have infinite planes and unless you make DD and CV players escort their CA/L, BBs and CAs subs need to be easier to deal with.

I also guessed a high price for Enterprise. I figured an Admiral's pack for 50,000 doubloons or something silly. Nope. 14,300 doubloons, about $54 USD, the same as Graf Zeppelin.

I bought the bundle yesterday (the day it came out) for $98 US. It is very much what I expected. The main battery dispersion is a beautiful thing to see. It is slow though and in general I feel like it is a t8 Vermont (much closer to Vermont than the Kansas). I like it but I don't love slow ships so I probably won't play it a lot.

I always buy a couple of containers got Tennessee on first one so guess I'll just enjoy the Leyete Gulf missions and do what I can

This time limit on buying out right reminds me of the original puerto rico dock yard. they wrote it in micro text about the discounted phases being unavailable near the end, throwing a lot of people off guard. it totally smells like that monetization practice is making a come back which is an absolute disgrace.

Welp I just got lucky from crates trying to get Enterprise and 20 bucks later ended up getting tennessee and yeah the guns are indeed nasty

So when we played for Jäger and Brisbane, we could get the next mission chain after completing the previous one (me and one friend we get both ships after grinding the whole weekend). It looks like Wargaming is trying to prevent players from rushing through this event in order to make it harder to complete the final mission chain in just a week.

Honestly PQ, I share your concern regarding the fact that: -we cannot see what's coming in the next set of directives - the admiral pack is ONLY available for 6 days.... So I decided to take a SMALL risk and got the 5 pack. And I got Tennessee, so I'm VERY happy with that. Even if it turns out that the directives are super-easy, I'll get like 116k coal anyways ~-~⁰(◠_◠;)⁰v~-~

when i read the part about "reliable source for tokens" i just laughed. i would like every CC to use their press account to buy the prem containers and see what the real drop rates are and show it to WG. maybe someone needs to show this to a lawyer and see if it meets some definition of a scam. 8% and 17% are in way a "reliable" way to obtain tokens. we all know from experience that getting the rewards of FXP and CXP are far more likely to drop.

As someone from TN, i was doomed from the start…

only adding it for purchase for a week would indicate that the missions shouldn't be significantly harder, as if they wanted to push sales, they would add it for purchase towards the end of the event and ramp-up the mission difficulty over the first few weeks to push people into that purchase, based on the evident ramp-up of difficulty.

I bought the Star Trek Enterprise skin thinking it came with the ship as well, only to realize I now have a skin for ship I don't even have. So hopefully the Enterprise doesn't cost too much? Because I'd really like to have it...

I bought 5 containers and didnt get any tokens. I did get the Tennessee which was very surprising

After finishing the first Gulf of Leythe mission Chain, I got the Enterprise from one of the container. But I hate cvs and don't play them...

only 5 missions chains are needed to get Tennesse. 6th is for unlocking Enterprice deal. So we have 7 weeks for 5 missions chains. Nothing difficult I would say.

I had all the other ships you could win in the premium crates. That leads to an 8% chance for Tennessee. I purchased 10 crates. I got her on the 2nd crate. $40 US. I gave up on randoms (had 60% win rate) as they were too frustrating. However, Tennessee is just TOO slow for Coop. The game is over before you get there. Will try in operations.

@ 8:35, what WG means here? I do not get it as well. They gave out a first week mission but they F it up when explaining both. Like CV will be available after finishing the first mission chain and as well Tennessee is already available too? If WG somehow fuck the last 2 mission, id hold them tokens and gamble it with some box that gives 100% chance premium ship but it is random

I thought being left in the dark as a CC was a Wargaming tradition? Seriously though, my level of trust in WG marketing is at the point where I'd bet the mission descriptions in the later chains haven't even been written yet. Or worse, have been written to require players to play in "unpopular" ship types or battle modes. Too bad, as the Tennessee sounded like a fun ship, as long as you didn't need to get anywhere in a hurry.

If this was a none Admiral pack, I would have got it. But not paying for a load of fluff I don't need.

Making assumptions based on their track record and facts isn't unreasonable. If those figures paint WG in a negative light that's on them not you. It's their job to change those perceptions.

They show the drop percentages because it's legal requirement in EU countries I think

Very simple answer to your video 'PQ' Solution 1 [mine] - I'll try those missions and IF I fail .. I fail. Solution 2 [Billionaire player] - again IF I would be a huge fan of that ship I would buy it straight away. additional comment - 'wg' are wan kers because I am really poor player in overall, I am really good at playing CV's so if one of the last tasks to get the Tennessie would be 'get 3000 experience in battle playing submarine!' it would take me 30 years to do that mission not 48 days... I have Massathussetts so I am not that keen to get another US Battleship. FOMO is getting worse and worse...

I playing to get it and not spend the money. I know what is going to take place with me. If I bought it or acquired it by playing the game, I play it for a few weeks, get bored, and go back to playing my crusiers. Also if you remember two weeks ago when you were in your Hildebrand parked behind an island and being attacked by a Marseille, that was me.😀

The main problem here is no tier 8 premium is worth the cash when you often play and drop versus tier 10s for me it completely ruins the experience, I don’t get why they don’t change tier 8 and below to be only 1 ship up and down since we now have super ships for 9 and 10a to play with

just don't fall for the fomo if you don't really want to spend that much money. the only reason wargaming keeps doing this is because the playerbase keeps falling for it

I purchased it for my main account on NA but not for my EU account. I may grind it there. Right now I am spending more time grinding the Battlepass on Lesta where the German light cruisers are in early access and should soon have the T7 ship.

As AN experiment I tried the prem containers after 20 no sign of Tennessee

having all the other possible ships, i spent 1250 dubs of the 1300 i had to see if i could get her, and i did. I love her a lot, but for a 48% potato, she is very hard to position. Everything PQ says about the ship, and how to play her is 100% correct. her shells fly exactly where u aim.... so, if you can't aim, you miss out on damage.

I'm a little disappointed that Johnston and some other ships that in history left a mark in Leyte Gylf ain't in the containers.

I stop playing for 6-12 months after something like this tells me I'm short by 3pts short on a chain I've worked on for a month and then miss out by hours at the end and get fkd over... I don't play much these days but I love the idea of the game :p

This entire thing is going to be another FOMO model. They'll test it out here. You get a ship over a long mission chain, or direct purchase in the beginning. Loads of people will opt for free, then the missions turn the grind to 11, they don't get the ship they wanted, next time they are more likely to instabuy.

When is the next black friday event starting?

I really hope the mission chain is manageable, I don't want to spend money on it. Its to expensive to be honest, the price is much much worst in my country Indonesia, 1.5 million price for this pixelated ship is to much. It's like half salary per month on most people here.

Moreover as stated when you can't see what the grinds will be, its easy to over invest perhaps even at the start Weegee has a tradition of the latter phase of the even being high requirements its either that or the second one in or second to last is the absurd phase. Concerned Grind, get got over invest early on, oh its this seems easy enough thanks weegee and maybe the end... Nope Gotcha bishe! Over invested only have to buy 50 containers (okay slight exaggeration) now to finish and i already invested all this time. *Edit As for the Enterprise, had her for sometime Shes so underwhelming (although im no CV main at all) she's not the beast at the tier as i kept hearing about. I have a really nasty habit of Being bottom Tier when i play CV and then bottom tier when i don't play CV. 4 /10 games will be under mid or lower of the 3 tiers.. Hell no sure as all f doesn't feel that way Enterprise with her NOT unupgraded T8 planes. of her same Tier sister CV, some rubbish i read somewhere at some stage, before putting her on the shelf where she belongs.

WG's Monetisation sucks.. Bought a few premium ships back in the pre-lootbox days, so as far as I'm concerned, I've paid more than enough for the game. I'm not a gambler and these schemes just put me right off. I absolutely refuse to spend another penny - on principle - while these scams exist. I also refuse to grind for anything - especially limited-time events (which they pretty much are). Only thing I don't understand is why these practices seem so popular.. they must be, right, if they are making enough money from them to keep doing it? Stop feeding the bear, guys!

Is it just me or is the free tokens earnable a total of 45? which also means we are 5 short from the free tier 6 container. I guess they want us to gamble on the free 10x normal container and spend the rest on credits for the free players.

they didn't pull Enterprise cuz she was too strong, i mean are they gonna pull: Wisconsin, Schlieffen, Ohio, Yamato, Pommern and Massa then as well? no they did it because they know people will pay a fortune to get that ship, but if they would have let her stay in the game they would have made more money on her then pulling her out and sell her for ridiculous prices that nobody no longer want's to pay, no matter how famous, they're shooting themselves in their foot with this, just a total money loss on their end, game with potential got screwed by it's devs, seems the norm these days

I made the following plan obtaining the Big T : i dont give a f***. Probably i would have bought her outright for normal price, but WG doing WG things. If missions are reasonable, ( which i doubt ), i get her for free. If not, i wait till she gets to the Armory at some point like Brisbane, Jager, and Pozharsky did. Even if she gonna be for doublons, there is a 25% off coupon. Or falling out of a Santa/Super container one day. Just another of the usual and typical WoWs FOMO event to milk the players for a quick buck.
