3 years ago I moved from New Zealand to Sweden to live and work, and going from tilt-hitches being a luxury to tiltrotators being standard has been eye opening. Swedens work culture is very much “work smarter not harder” and they would rather buy an attachment or shaped-bucket to make a job easier. New Zealand is slowly adopting tiltrotators but I still see and hear people there complain about the price of things whenever a solution is presented for their problem. So I am in no rush to go home! I can operate without a tiltrotator, but having one just makes the job so much easier , faster and more enjoyable and you can do so much more from one position. New Zealanders often worry that tiltrotators will break in their ground conditions, but I can confidently say Swedens ground conditions are much harder. The concern of losing breakout is removed with the sandwich configuration, which is very common in Sweden as there is granite and boulders everywhere. So for ripping or solid ground excavating you can just remove the tiltrotator and protect your investment. They’ve been using these attachments for 30 years, so they know what they’re doing!

Absolutely waiting for a video like this. As a tiltrotor operator these things are absolutely immense and saves so much money time fuel and man power. If anybody wants to actually speak to me as an operator you are more than welcome. But come with an open mind.

And in Sweden, almost always the rubber wheeled excavators are pulling a small 10 to 15 ton wagon where they keep all the tools and buckets they use on a site. Those wagons are also used to transport dirt and gravel within the site - very handy.

Att se amerikanare prata tveksamt om den här nya uppfinningen som vi försökt sälja till dem sen tidigt 80tal är intressant.

10 years ago I went to a caterpillar open house and saw a Rototilt in action and I knew it was for me. I ordered one right away and have know regrets. I can’t imagine going to a job without it and I still find new things I can do with it all the time. I know I can do things that other contractors can’t do as well it’s just obvious to me that it is that much more efficient. Great video thanks.

I live in Sweden and I can’t really remember when I saw a excavator whit out a tilt rotator of any kind. I got one myself on my 3.5ton machine that got just around the house.

One thing not mentioned in the video is the fuel savings having a tilt-rotator on the machine makes because you don't need to reposition the machine as much, you also get more work done in a day not having to waste time repositioning the machine, more work done and less fuel burned equals money not wasted.

I've put about 500 hrs on a Noxx tiltrotator. It's an amazing machine. I'm 35 and a first person shooter life time gamer. I'm one of those people you guys spoke about, I got the hang of that thing in about an hours time. The Koreans also have this standard on most they're machines. The price of labor just skyrocketed here in MA. I've mostly been working on my own. We've been very efficient with our Masonry jobs. I totally recommend any good operator to get their hands one of these. And yes they are fun as hell. The next thing on the wish list is a 2D system no more getting out of the cab. Great video!!!

I used a "Twist wrist" on a Cat 215 possibly 30 years ago to pre-clean for a drill and blast job. Incredibly handy and an extremely underrated option.

I like all of them but EU is now going no tilt cylinder versions so try to skip that. Kinshofer is one legit company.

EU is certainly not going "no tilt cylinder". Germany seems to like those though.

I'm sure this tilt rotator is great, no doubt. But if you're really looking for versatility, there's a lot of contractors in America that are woefully ignorant on the capabilities of crawler loaders with a quick coupler. A crawler loader could do anything a Dozer could do and much, much more. It's the same concept of a tilt rotator, a crawler loader with just say a quick coupler and GPS grade control and you have very few jobs off of pavement and finished roads you can't perform. Crawler loaders today are basically extra heavy duty skid steers with more capability.

It's great that you use rototilt, we've had it for over 20 years. You are far behind Europe.

For me working with out a rotor would not happen. i mostly work in a 2.5 ton Volvo ewd. it is small it is nimble on yards and with the rotor i dont need skidsteers or wheelloaders i can do all the work with 1 manchine. and i only 5 tools to it. 3 buckets 1 gradingbeam and the integraded claw on the rotor. i only 1 have extra guy with me i make his jobb easy and makes mine easy. there are 2 videos on my channel where i do some diffrent work with the machine using the tilt rotor´.
