I'll be doing my 3rd dose of Vyvgart in a few days. It's made a HUGE difference in my overall weakness. It hasn't really done much for my eyes, but my strength and stamina have improved to the point that I almost feel normal. I'm receiving the Vyvgart Hytrulo (subcutaneous) version and it's a walk in the park as far as the treatment goes. Takes about 75-seconds with a 30-minute wait time. No reaction or side effects whatsoever...
That's great to hear! I applied for it but got denied because at that moment my symptoms weren't severe enough to get included in the study. My current azathioprine is insufficient to keep me from flaring up frequently so I'm making the switch to tacrolimus atm. If that fails I'll try Vyvgart as well!
@@doc_Louis - I was actually doing semi-okay until April of this year. I had Covid the entire month and REALLY went down hill after that! It was getting pretty bad.
@@Snarkapotamus Yeah it's the same for me. Initial presentation of symptoms was after my first covid infection 2 years ago and my recent flare-up also started 2 weeks after my second covid infection. That virus definitely knows how to activate the immune system.
So helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. A real contribution to the community. I look forward to sharing the link with others. (PS: Have you decided to use this treatment for yourself? Curious to know, if you are willing to share.)
Thank you :) I have applied for Vyvgart but I did not meet the criteria to be eligible. At the moment they're reserving the treatment for people with refractory myasthenia who still have quite a lot of symptoms despite intensive drug treatment. I'm lucky enough to respond very well to corticosteroids/imuran/mestinon but that leaves me unable to get vyvgart (for now).
Thank you very much! it is really helpful!!! My mom had myasthenia gravis and I have been searching for new drugs for a while. Do you know how Tacrolimus and Prednisone acetate tablets work on the human body to ease myasthenia gravis' symptoms?
Hey Pieter. Goedkeuring in EU volgt hoogstwaarschijnlijk eind 2023.
