@@The1andonlysharpshooter i noticed they add some of the assets before the update they're meant to debut on, usually one or two updates prior, they did the same with some of the pyramids in the desert and that one tower in fontaine before this update
To be fair, all quest areas now have this invisible box around them. It's ever since people were clipping into places they shouldn't back in Sumeru (eg out of bounds of frozen paradise place)
it's very detailed for a set that a player will never access. My theory is that is will be accessible eventually in the archon quests, and that that's why it's so much more detailed than other out of bounds areas. And you wouldn't want people to snoop around in an area that be important in the future
Considering how secure this place is, i'm putting a suspicion on this place. There might be a bit lore related things inside and hoyo did not want us to spoil it, the ship is Fontaine's first history after all
If it was just a 3d picture/sprite on top of the glass to create the illusion of a ship and/or dock underneath the fortress then that means they never intended it to be used in any upcoming quest or main story of fontaine, and it was just a red herring to add to the doomsday gloom atmosphere. If it really is/was there, then it would/will actually be used in the archon quest and story of fotaine for SOMETHING, at the very least.
That's what I was thinking just by looking through the glass, it's way too detailed to be stuck behind a wall. Either the archon quest or maybe even Wriothesley's story quest.
The ship is modelled with detail but many pipes, docks and structures that are obscured are unfinished rather than low poly so it seems we won't be able to access this place in its current state. Also, it is a domain and domains have much more background details than the overworld so i think it is just a decoration. On the other hand, if the writting of the story will be sound the fact that they showed the ship means they have to use it. You shouldn't show a gun in one scene and not have it fire in the next one.
@@kacperwoch4368 obscured areas being unfinished is pretty common, a player isn't supposed to be there right now so there's no need to finish areas the player wouldn't see through the glass anyway.* That doesn't necessarily mean that it won't be an accessible area in the future. *take out of bounds over world areas for example. They're always unfinished, with missing walls and funky textures, because they're only meant to be seen from afar. I made a pretty funky discovery out of bounds in fontaine where there was a building where every texture was like stretched out clocks, or something like that, until you were far enough away and then the correct textures would load lol
@@ciciamanda. Out of bounds areas within Fontaine are not unfinished, they are low-poly (like say Jade Chamber seen from afar). The ship is not low poly, it is definatey a finished model. I've not seen them ever return and rework such finely detailed area, especially within a domain. If we ever see the ship from up close it will be in a cutscene or in a different area.
Didn't expect for the ship to actually be a detailed model with collision and all. It looks awesome and I hope we get to properly explor the ship in a future archon quest.
I actually did this! I decided to glitch out of the office and see if I could get to the Primordial Sea or on the ship, but was unsuccessful. it's always fun to do stuff like this though, and I learn a lot when you make videos like this. keep it up, moosashi!
This is probably a super fringe theory but its possible they have a cube surrounding the whole area so that they can resize the asset group later. I think that right now they want the assets to be small so that they look far away in the window from Wriothesley's basement, but later when it comes time for the purpose of the boat to be revealed they'll make it larger. As someone pointed out, the boat and the cranes look a lot smaller up close than expected, so this "invisible cube" might just be an asset group in whatever engine Genshin runs on that has collision turned on. I could be totally wrong though.
That last Statement was so true. Crazy stuff happens on mobile but it is a pain to play on from my experience. Although I did glitch out of map many times.
The instant I saw this I wanted to get there. I'm not too well versed with out of vounds stuff myself so I didn't manage, but I'm surprised that it's so secure you were unable to as well. But still, very interesting video. It's almost suspicious that they made so sure that this place specifically is completely inaccessible.
i'm guessing next version we will get on the ship, otherwise why would they have made such a detailed model for it? if the ship was mean to be innacessible they could have just given us a fancy png behind the glass window of the basement in wriothesley's office, but they didn't do that, the big gate behind the ship also implies it's meant to go somewhere that we'll be able to explore as well. I'm really excited to see what happens in the story that would lead wriothesley to use the emergency ship, maybe the nation will start to get flooded after all.
Wriothesley's Ark Or, as I like to put it, Wriothesley's Borealis. Also, I have a feeling that we might use this ship in Act V of the Fontaine story. And if not, some future Archon Quest.
that would be awesome ngl. if it ever happens, i bet they'd use the same mechanic they used for GAA 2 where you can switch map layouts just so you won't miss the chests from the older map. doubt they'd do this in fontaine though but maybe near the "end" of teyvat
I've really wanted something like this to happen. I especially want to see it happen with another nail dropping and destroying someplace, but I understand that'll probably never come to pass. Genshin's not always the happiest game when it comes to the story, but I think we're long overdue for the Traveler to experience their first ever truly cataclysmic failure since the game's opening cutscene.
I actually thought that this was some sort of camera trick on a 2D image, I hadn't expected them to completely model this whole area just for us to be unable to explore it lmao
As somebody who has made their way into other spaces that have these cubes around them, they actually don't have six sides. It's 5, but it's unlikely that many will be able to go under a box and ascend enough/maintain the height (even with Kazuha). The way I do it usually is with C1 Xiao because Scara can't descend fast enough before his skill runs out. If you can find a pocket of water OR a patch of grass to clip into under the box, it will push you upwards into the cube boundary and you will be free to explore within the invisible box.
Man. Really wanted to find a way back in this room yesterday, but couldn't wind it anywhere. Exploring the fortress from outside was interesting, yet I still was hoping that I'll find it somewhere below the map, just like Elynas
Can confirm all the crazy glitched shit does indeed happen on mobile... (as a player who got stuck multiple times in the weirdest of places during the stormterror archon quest as a newbie and had to restart some cutscenes about 15 times over....all thanks to my potato phone and terrible internet connection at the time)
ooh, I've been waiting for this! I had been trying to glitch onto the ship myself for ~30 minutes, only to immediately get caught by a teleport barrier upon breaking out :') lost patience soon after that thank you for going through this in our stead 🙏
I’ve already glitched outside of it (via the surface and gliding/swimming down to it) and it looks pretty cool. Fun fact, you can reach mary ann’s house from it, just barely within gliding distance. Unfortunately the devs made a no-no box around the whole thing, so only way inside is through the ground underneath it after some creative climbing.
Well done, I was looking forward to you getting to this video the second I saw the ship in the archon quest. Looks like Hoyo did put effort into making it, so I hope that they won't disappoint and actually use it in the next part of the archon quest.
When I first saw that ship, it genuinely had my taken away. It's so grand and absolutely gorgeous. It's such a shame we NEVER got to actually step onto it.
I think the new wind current gadget from Fontaine reputation rewards will grant you more options, or better yet, allow you to access areas previously inaccessible before. Can't wait to see where you break into next
Crazy thing happen in mobile is really true especially if you using phone when your connection is not stable or your memory is almost full, you can find surprise glitch with that lol
Lmao. I literally finished the story yesterday... or rather today early in the morning my time. And when I was looking at the ship I was asking "I can't wait till Moosashi gets there". And boom. Here I browsed RU-vid earlier this day and You did it. That's hilarious moment. I want to see what You have achieved here. Wriothesley is so reliable. He heard about Your exploits and made the Fortress totally Moosashi-proof. At least that secret ship. He probably even expected You to come here already and watch You how You fail to get inside. Oh, You actually get super close. But Wriothesley is probably laughing behind the curtain, that You didn't manage to go on board, yet being amazed that You got this far.
I will never understand why they created an entire giant boat, set it up to be really cool and then just never brought it back after it served its purpose in the climax of the archon quest
Hey I'm from the future and we have not been given access to this area yet as of 4.5! (Spoilers for Fontaine archon quest) The ship was used only in the final cutscene to save people from the water. But then it just disappears once the cutscene is over. A shame to say the least. At least the stuck to the chekhov's gun principle but just barely and in a way I'd call superficial. I really hope it shows up again somewhere later in the game and we get the ability to walk on it.
Many people had already pointed that out, but I shall too - I like how the moment I saw that ship in the quest, I immediately knew you'd try to get there 😆
I started trying to break in after seeing it in the quest and decided to maybe google if someone has a strategy before I just randomly run about. It's so sad to find out about the invisible cube!! I guess I should give up now haha
Another way of doing that is running genshin through an external hard drive and playing on a server across the world. (neither of which was my choice, but here i am) ms is usually locked to 300 and things load very slowly when you first enter an area (outside of cutscenes) You can walk through the sandstorm in sumeru as well as this glass wall using a portable way point, just teleport to it and then try to control the game as it runs on 1-2 fps. Inconvenient and time-consuming, yet it sound like a Moosashi style solution.
im convinced they watch your video for all possible patches. Cuz after the update i went to places and they subtly patched everything as if there was no change at all. The paimon barrier was expected but they even patched the Room in Mary Ann quest which helps you go out of bounds. Theres just one place I didnt check which is the aquabus bridge and not a lot of people knew about it. Its also a good place to break out of bounds
Yes, but... Unfortunately, as with many gadgets released after the 1.0s, it is slapped with every restriction in the book. Can't use in combat. Can't use in domains. Can't use in special areas like this.
When i saw that ship in the quest i was like heck this rizzly is making a noah's ark under the sea how is he gonna get that ship on the surface of water
Awesome!!!! I wanted to try breaking in but glad I watched your video instead! Could I request please for a short video if you could break into the glass windows in Fontaine buildings? If you climb up on windows of certain buildings, you can see through the slightly frosted glass and see a furnished room without doors inside! I tried to glitch in but failed 😞
Actually, those aren't rooms! The window itself has the illusion of a room built into it. On the other side of them are just the empty areas within the building. The windows in the Knights of Favonius Library are similar, and I highlighted those in my "Places You Aren't Supposed to See in Mondstadt" video.
I had to "Not recommend me this video" because both the thumbnail and title contains spoiler and I haven't done the AQ when it first came up, but I did the AQ today and went back to this video because I was certainly curious whether you can get into here. I hope we'll get the chance to explore the ship in its entirety one day. Thank you for sharing your findings with us
