Hey ComedIan, I'm Colin, the co-creator and pilot of Liberator at the Fishbowl. Glad you really like the deck so far. It's been a long road to get it to where it's at and John from Spite Plays as well as I are still chugging along hoping to push it into a top 4, and help get some more pilots interested in the concept of colorless as a Cedh viable strat.
After much procrastination, I finally sat down today and put together my casual Liberator deck, and then I see this video like an hour later. I'm not immediately looking to upgrade it to cEDH, but I love seeing it and seeing the potential. It'll be really interesting to see where you and others go with the idea. Thanks!
@@urgoingtojail3892 Cormela still slaps imo. Compared to Naya and Esper, Grixis just has so many options right now that representation is too split between them all.
Tivit Pivot is my list. Stinging Study is in my one flex slot, where I've been trying out different cards. You're absolutely right, I can run a big draw spell and also tell the table that I'm not running Naus. I've never had success with Naus in the deck, due to cards like Hullbreaker. So far, it's been a good card. Only 1 Black pip and still at Instant speed. Thinking to swap it for Grim Tutor though. And Myrel is not just a Grand Abolisher, it creates artifact creatures that can be sacc'ed to the Time Sieve :)
I was the other tivit in top 16. Telling people your not running ad naus has been great for not getting hit with kraums lol. How has Karn been performing in your deck?
@@bsphere255 love Karn. I have Karn mainly to get Time Sieve back if it’s exiled (Consult, Tainted Pact, etc) and the static stax effect is just a nice bonus.
Nice. Love you covered one of the brews by John and Collin from our SoCal group :). It used to be hope of ghiripur. Battle thopter is much better as the commander and helped pushed the deck. We call it colorless Yeva lol
can you time stap the decks i would so appreciate being able to click on a go straight to the deck (needy i know but appreciate the content keep it up )
Baleful mastery is a funny way to stop someone on a aggressive thassa's oracle line, since you can exile any creature causing you pain and have them a draw a card with an empty library.
Hello sir, I notice that basically all the decklists you showed us have "Lotus Petal" in it. Now i play casual EDH, kind of on a budget and i never even considered that card because i don't really have ways to abuse it, even though i have one in my collection. To you or anyone reading this; Am i missing out? Is this a good card to put in a deck eventhough i can't really abuse it? Should i just slide it in in exchange for a land or something?
Hey Ian, you're a numbers guy. In the vein of identifying larger trends, do you know of any resource that tracks all of this cedh tournament data at a larger scale?
I know it's been 8months but I've only just stumbled across this video and was wondering If there are lists for thw deck specifically the yisan list? The link doesn't seem to work for me.
As a casual player with a colorless deck that cEDH colorless is making me feel a little dirty xD Lots of similar cards. Though I'm a lot more top heavy because casual xD
@@ComedIanMTG yeah my experience with locals have been pretty easy. I just need something a little more challenging. people might not know how to pilot blue farm and rog si etc here
(Not my list, i just run something similiar) The rocco rector may be because the vivien line is dense and is instantly shut off by one card stuck in your opener. you run vivien and pod as one card wincons still. But chasing the AB combo that is also a true one card wincon is better.
I've been following the format closely for a while and thinking of building my first proper cEDH deck, is there a Najeela list I should start with? I was thinking Pongo's list of the cEDH Decklist Database
I’d recommend starting with Yisan actually! Deck is rather powerful and exceedingly resilient/consistent. Selvala brostorm hits a similar vein as well!
Do you think we aren't seeing tymna thrasios decks in tournament results right now because everyone has "been there, done that" and not playing it as much or because the absence of red makes it not as competitive as it once was?
Seeing this video in my recommended now, I've been manning a Colorless cEDH deck for the last few months using Liberator. Super fun deck for me. Kinda popped off in happiness seeing this because people around me keep saying it's not possible for it to be truly cEDH only for me to win some pods
