Here's the cool part: Due to the CBA rule changes that make it virtually impossible to sit out now, the Colts not only don't have to trade him, they also still don't have to pay him and he has no real option but to play for the Colts. Time to make it toxic JT.

I’m a Badgers fan, but honestly I’m not sure this is the best move for Taylor. He did great in college, but that was partly due the offense he was in. The NFL, nearly as a whole, seems to going away from the playing style he thrives under. He’s on one of the last few teams that likes to use the run as the main attack. I don’t think he’s going to find any major teams going for him.

I'm a colts fan my reaction is - it's not going to happen lol he's under contract this year for like four million we can tag him for next year for like 10 and the following year as well if I'm not mistaken. He legit has no leverage lol either don't play or change positions.

So instead of drafting Jalen Hurts we draft a RB that ends up being good enough to sort of justify the pick. Then in just a few years tell him his position isn't shit and neither is he. Makes a ton of sense.

As a Colts fan I'm gonna be realistic. RB market is dead. JT wants a lot of money I bet and he's coming of an injury riddled season at a position that can fall off at any time. If he gets traded it's gonna be for peanuts. If a team does trade for Taylor they're gonna have to give up picks, they're gonna have to make him the highest paid back in the league, and he's coming off an injury so there's gonna be even less of a market. At a position that's only as good as the O Line in front of it I don't see this working out for Taylor.

What sucks is the back up, Zack Moss, is actually a great power runner. Just had the bad luck of beings on The Bills then backing up JT. When he was on the field he played well with 114 yards and a TD in the last game. He isn't as good at Taylor but was known for Mossing (running over) people when he got the ball.

This offseason has just proven that the Jags and Titans are those only adults in the division.

In the gms perspective he will see that it is better off investing in an o line and running back by committee. That's the reality. Taylor can request any trade but he has nothing else as leverage.

As a colts fan I am extremely sad

It does seem crazy how top RBs getting 20+ touches get paid less than so many other positions. Given how physically capable RBs like Barkley, Taylor, etc. are, they could be top LBs or TEs, and last longer and get paid more. I really enjoy watching great RBs in action, to me this is a real problem for the NFL. It will not be as enjoyable if top athletes stop being RBs. Sure there are many solid to good ones for 4-8 mil per year, but not many really stellar RBs. Like Kyle Pitts is getting more than Barkley. Sure Pitts is a good+ TE but I wouldn't buy a ticket to see Pitts, but I'd buy a ticket to go watch Barkley or Taylor or Henry... this season Taylor is needed to help Richardson develop... I find it all very baffling.
