I'm a lifelong Commanders/Redskins/Football Team and DC native. Our local sports radio, 106.7 the fan, did a poll about 8 years ago: Winning the Superbowl, or Snyder selling the team. Over 75% said Snyder selling the team would be better. I could not describe the joy I feel today

I have never been so happy!

As a Redskins/WFT/Commanders fan, I will say Dan made a solid investment in buying the team. He paid $750 million for the team and sold it for just over 6 billion, making it the highest amount of money paid for a franchise. Granted he never put much effort into investing into the team, btw. Having said that, as an owner, he was hit or miss with more misses than hits. I can't say I was happy he became owner because I'm not, I thought ownership should have stayed with the Cooke family. I'm glad the team is being sold and hopefully they'll be able to wipe away the stench soon, it'll take a couple of years to do so, but here's hoping it'll happen.

That's a gain of $231 million a year, every year since he purchased the team.
