Sick and tired of “beginner guides” that aren’t actually for beginners, but just talk about a bunch of endgame stuff that an actual beginner has no clue what you are talking about.
It's a little late for me to be watching this video.. I just started playing 2 days ago and have been having a blast and will definitely be getting Diablo 4 at some point. I started the campaign as a Witch Doctor and have already hit level 67 at Torment III on Act 5. I have Piranha with Bogadile mixed with some active spirit perk. I felt OP at one point because I constantly had the Bogadile spawning along with 2 skeletons fighting for me that were almost always dealing damage. I think the game had bugged out because I went to check on an unlocked perk, swapped back to what I had and then I stopped getting seemingly infinite Bogadile and piranha spawns. Once I've finished the campaign, I'll be hitting adventure mode and grinding the rifts. I might even make a seasonal character and grind it out, but it might be pointless because I'm not sure how many people are still playing on console as I've had nobody join my game so far.
How come beginners guides for games like these are always made for advanced players? As a beginner I dont give a shit about any of this, all the endgame stuff, levelling quickly, high difficulties, starting at hard etc etc. No. I want an introduction to the movement system, the game mechanics, what classes do what and basic introductions to them, how to get started when I first start playing etc etc etc. I learned NONE of that Sorry, this guide IS great, but its absolutely not for complete beginners
Most people playing Diablo 3 in 2023 have played a computer game or ARPG before. The things you’re looking for are either specifically taught in game, or can be easily found through a quick google search online. For most ARPG players, the game “starts” once you’re level 70 and you start farming gear and pulling your build together to push end game content. The story content is there to teach you mechanics, get you comfortable with skills and how gear generally works and give you a little bit of lore and immerse you in the world to an extent. The “beginner” title here is meant to help teach people what to do once they reach the meat and potatoes of the game which is where things can be overwhelming because there’s 10 years of mechanics and systems that have been built on themselves over and over.
this was a really unhelpful "beginners" guide I still have 0 clue wth to do or where to start or really anything about the game except really specific things
@Robert Godlewski maybe it isn’t, but there’s still tons of useful info here. I’m new to Diablo so it all sounds like another language to me, but I’ll definitely return to this video later. Hopefully, this guide is still useful in the PS4 version. However, looking at this and other videos on Diablo 3, I’m hesitating now on whether to play it, as I don’t know if it can handle that many enemies on screen at once, all moving that fast.
Absolutely nothing about this guide is for beginners. It's actually probably not even for intermediates. This is mostly about min/maxing your characters which you have to know all about the game jargon to understand any part of.
I just...what? I saw beginner's and thought this would help me in the first dozen or so hours. This was not the video I was looking for but I bet it helped someone out there. Good presentation.
@@yiannis777-l9cI don't think you need someone to explain the game to you personally. I've been learning as I go and haven't had much trouble. Some of the enemies in the levels feel more difficult than the main bosses and I've been 1 tapped a few times from reapers in Act 5, but bosses before that gave me no trouble.
Lol same, I thought this would be for actual NEW players. I've never played a diablo game before; I'm kinda old and haven't played many video games at all actually. I was hoping for an explanation of why there are seemingly dozens of different systems and what the different character types are for and what a season even is 😂
(Head scratch) I killed the skeleton king and got the sword back to the angel dude and began act 2 I just figured out I can give gear to the guy in my party the guy talking might as well be speaking Chinese because I'm lost af
A complete beginner's guide? Sorry, but this began in a far-too rushed and over-concise way, especially for a more-recent guide to this game, and it barely let up to be frank! I couldn't "relax with my tea", partly because it sounds like you somehow cut the short gaps that surely must have existed between your sentences? (though using .75 speed makes you sound a little less like an advancing Dalek at times), and partly because I seemed to require a significant knowledge of the game - and of similar newer-type 'ARPG' games too I feel. Until I eventually gave up, I was constantly rewinding to either simply follow things or try to understand them. So as a break in searching for some helpful beginner's help on this game I feel moved to write a little bit more on this instead.. On top of being so short of digestible information, perhaps you are making a few 'modern play' assumptions too? Re the beginning.. 'It will take a while to get there anyway'.. where? What actually is a Seasonal Character to make a 'better' start with? Why would you *not* complete the final boss? What is the difference with the 'preferable' Adventure Mode? (could Adventure mode have been a chapter heading perhaps?) And the whole concept of upgrading the game's difficulty from within the game - do you actually *need* to be doing this? You should really explain the basics (or at least allude to something about them) as you mention them, or it just confuses obviously. If you did elaborate on any of the above I couldn't find where for most of them. You don't seem to explain them conceptually in terms of game options. You went straight on to running over crafting etc, which tbh was done so fast and tersely it was discombobulating too. It was quite hard to go on from there to be frank. Surely this video is more of a 'Novice's Guide' for already-advancing D3 players who are are clearly familiar with these newer forms of Action RGPs? I have played Diablo 1 and 2, some years ago now, and a few other arpg's over the time too - but this particularly internet-centric Diablo 3-onwards thing really is a different experience to me. Even to Grim Dawn too (which I thought was very over-rated as a traditional game. In fact I'm hoping Diablo 3 will be a lot better than Grim Dawn as a 'one-player/one-play' campaign for someone who may decide to stop there due to time constraints or whatever.) And I haven't played Paths of Exile since it first came out - I gather that's changed quite a bit too. But for a true Beginner's Guide the viewer shouldn't need any important prior knowledge (eg how these games have evolved) just to help understand self-references that need to be elaborated-on or explained. This video (I couldn't follow it all) felt like a speedy appraisal of the game's 3.x features, followed by the various things that come up in play.. but was no help to me at all as 'a complete beginner's guide', as you style it, as I was expected to already understand (or 'get') way too-much of what looks to me like a fairly complicated game to shore up!
It's 2024 I'm pretty heavily invested currently into retro games and games I've never played ....started this diablo on Xbox 360 no online .....all the tutorials are season based 😂
Thanks but I do NOT use "D3 builds from Internet" Diablo IS for *Lone Wolfs* , so I came up with my OWN build which carried me all the way up to GNR Qual16 Lv.110
@@Nexotic0 Great beginners guide: "Just play and figure it out for yourself". The video could have been less than 30 seconds long. Not sure if the title was click bait to get more views, or whether you just have no idea what beginners actually want, or need, to know, or how to present it to them in a way that is easy to understand.
Jst started like 2 days ago.. Haven't played since D2 yrs ago. Im in Tristan still I think n this video made almost no sense to me besides the companion n vendors. Obviously im in way over my head. Playing on Hardcore and Haven't died yet. About 10 more videos and a week more of Playing n I should have atleast a clue wtf im doing. Using the crusader btw with Templar .
does an actual beginners guide of this game exist at all? fucking sick of all the endgame "beginners guide" bullshit that's made for already experienced diablo players.
Same, I'm running Necro and I don't seem to have any damage. Sure it's fun to see all the minion die quick and blow up but when going against the tougher bosses I takes me forever to kill them... I keep looking for a guide to show me what I'm doing wrong but all I get are" beginners guides" like this. I can't even get past the bosses.. they overwhelm me :c
Wooooooo protoxx alt chanel coming in massive clutch and I forgot I loved it!!!!! Thanks for letting me know which to buy buuuuuut I might actually buy the standard depending on price because I just want a tutorial and mechanics to tied me over and learn in 2023 here while I wait for Diablo 4 early release in a few weeks cause I'm getting the itch hahahahah. CANT WAIT TILL YA MAKE MORE DIABLO 4 STUFF???
i Now grabbed it for xbox thinking it would be offline like the 360 version but NOPE, i don't think it does game saves offline that matter. I wanted the remaster diablo 2 & i basically got d3 "almost" free on the eternal sale. I DO have to say since last playing on PC in 2015 the solo is much better in leveling up then then. Drops/loot for set pieces is horrible & legendary recipes you get for smith are always WAY too late. game is better then 7 yrs ago but it's still a loot/parts grind fest. if d4 is going to be this "grindy" i don't think i'll bother especially if it has to be connected online just for single player.
First off, Great video!!! 2nd: How are your game graphics this good?? I run a 4090 and for some reason yours looks better than mine!?!? What am I missing?
You kill stuff to level up and get gear to help you kill stronger stuff faster. You use the stuff you find to make you stronger. Some of the stuff you find will buff or power up certain skills which you can form a “build” around. All the mechanics in this video are just the various ways Diablo 3specifically let’s you power up your character so you can kill stronger and stronger stuff faster and faster
it's just way too over complicated with builds & drops/loot has gotten worse since now there's like level 20 torment........WTF. I'am NEVER making all the characters that level, that's like decade of effort in solo & PRETTY sure multiplayer isn't fun when everyone is hundreds of levels higher.
get any legendary set completed (partially) from a decent build and you'll be zooming through torment 6. Try and complete your season journey parts for free legendary set pieces.
God this game is trash. Now I remember why I uninstalled it years ago. Dunno what I was thinking picking it back up. Waste of a few hours doing NOTHING but holding right click. Jesus, wtf happened to games?
i kinda feel the way you do, i wasted an entire year playing this in 2015 season 4 & 5. now it's season 26 lol i Now grabbed it for xbox thinking it would be offline like the 360 version but NOPE, i don't think it does game saves offline that matter. I wanted the remaster diablo 2 & i basically got d3 "almost" free on the eternal sale. I DO have to say since last playing on PC in 2015 the solo is much better in leveling up then then. @@VvDOPAMEANvV yeah, they know the younger crowd will sink hundreds/thousands of hours in to this. i find it stupid that the NPC's are worthless for gear, the gear recipes you get for smith are always TOO late & weak leveled. i agree that the game can be addictive for looting. if you play solo you're gonna wait a LONG time for full set gear pieces.
For the record, the guy above made the claim a couple of times in this comment section that the game doesn't save offline on Xbox. It ABSOLUTELY DOES save offline. I'm on X1 and only play offline. It saves just fine.
How is this a beginner’s guide when you talk about torment 16 and shit, players who is on normal mode just created their first character will have zero idea about anything in this video like wtf.
Watching this video.... I am reminded why this game sucks. Just listening to you explain everything and seeing all of the things "to do" without actually doing anything........ the game just sucks. It's too non-user friendly, if that makes sense.
Thank you for re-affirming why I hated this game in the first place. I have to read 4000 lines of text just to understand my damage modifiers... ect..... it's BS. Then you have 1 million numbers popping up on the screen when you engage enemies. No thanks. Anyone that actually understands anything that is happening in this game.... has way too much time on their hands.
@@felipez3115 D3 Blows. Everyone stopped playing 2-3 months after launch because of how bad it sucked. There is so much BS going on that it's unplayable, there are way too many BS damage mods, ect... It's not MMO.... so many reasons the game is unplayable. Enjoy your lonely game. :) :)
@@JoshRuble75 imagine being so strongly opinionated that you go out and watch videos to make commentary about how much you hate something lol. You wanna talk about time on your hands?
@@JoshRuble75 Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you should trash others for enjoying it. It's called an opinion, and everyone has their own. No sense in going out of your way to watch a video on said game, then comment about how bad you think it is. If this style of game is not your cup of tea, then go on and play/watch another one. If other people enjoy it, let them! It's as simple as that.
Im new to the game but I feel just play it on your own guides like this just trouble you. Play at the difficulty u feel comfortable and when u feel like u can go higher raise it. And so on that's how I'm doing it and yes I am a beginner I don't even know what powers/ skills work better yet I'm playing witch doctor. Take it slow we will figure it out on our own
