I had my colour analysis done about 30 years ago and I am a soft summer. It was a shock as I gravitated towards black. Despite several changes of hair colour and aging I still love my softer colour palette. Your video encouraged me to get my swatches out and go shopping!

Loved! Aw, the dark blue at the start actually does bring your features out more once on. HOWEVER, the pastel blue is sooo you and your personality and aura and still looks great! But it's okay because there's a whole pallete of every colour and the colours are only the colours next to your face, which could also be your background in photos rather than clothes! Also, I have a problem with these two blues too because the dark can affect my actual body shape looking boxier and the pastel doesn't. So tones/boldness can also change how your shape features appear more round sharp soft etc . Last one, you can also dip between the very closest palletes next to your main one! ❤

So glad you enjoyed your analysis.. Anna was great & even on a laptop, I could see which colours looked good on you. I got re-done recently which was fun for me too. My first sesh was 35yrs ago! As Anna says, you don't change your season - I'm Autumn - but my skin tone has changed (& I dye my hair) so I've moved to the 'soft and muted' sector. It's truly transformational. Folk say "How well I look"😉

When soft autumn is afraid to be typed as winter or summer 😄 It's either the lighting in the room was very misleading or I wouldn't trust that "colour analyst". She doesn't focus on sub-types and seems to even have typed herself incorrectly. You look so good in that shirt at the very beginning of the video, and the tones of your flat in the background harmonise with you perfectly

I can’t believe the difference picking the right colours can make! Your whole skin tone changed in a split second. I can’t say I’ll ever give up black tho…even if I think I’m one of those who can’t pull it off ‘healthily’ ha. So nice to see you pushing out your comfort zone😊

This is amazing , but I feel it’s very difficult to find clothes the exact shade of colour that is in my colour palette ie autumn . Because not only you have to find clothes that suit your body shape but now also the exact shade of colour 😅making shopping for clothes 3 times harder 😅 😂. But it’s really amazing how colour changes your face . Thanx for this video Gabriella , loved it .❤

I just saw Anna Newton do her colour analysis, but this is much clearer in terms of the changes to your skin and focus on face or body. Thanks for this, Gabby. Great Video! As an art teacher, I am a huge fan of the color analysis because I see how colors interact with each other daily. I would love to see you video all aspects of this journey to get a wardrobe that reflects you true colors. Also remember, black and other colors that are not in your color palette are great choices for skirts and pants and items that are not worn next to your face. Finally, I hope you consider doing the body shape clothing analysis as I would love to see that video. I have not seen anyone else do that before. BTW, did you receive a fabric swatch kit of your summer colors that you can use when shopping? Color can be so tricky when the shades are so close but undertones are different.

i was given a swatch pack of colours yes! not fabric but they’re printed on card. definitely keeping my black lower items of clothing! and i’m 100% gonna do the style analysis probably in august 🩷

Truth about color analysis - when learning to draw and paint dimensional objects, I was taught to look for light, dark, and the reflected color (in the half shadow). What you’re trying to do is pick the color that reflects up into your face, especially in the shadow areas. Color analysis helps you choose colors that are harmonious with your natural skin tone. I had my colors done at the age of 25. I’m 60 now. I CAN’T wear the same colors anymore. My skin tone has changed. It used to be a light, warm, cream. Now it’s neutral. Skin tone can shift with age. I’m still a “Spring” but I can get away with cool “Summer” tones.

I cannot tell if I am a clear winter or clear spring. I have dark hair extremely pale skin, warm hazel eyes and black eyebrows and eyelashes and warm freckles and bright pink lips. I look good in lighter lipsticks and dark kohl on my eyes. Cool red darker nails make my hands look bad and pink. I look good with pale pink nails, my hands look yellow and healthy. I rock gold and tolerate silver but it is not as flattering as gold. I have the palest skin I have ever seen. I look much more beautiful when i fake tan.

Are you warm or cool? start there. forget the eyes, forget the hair. Skin only. Springs are light, warm and bright. Contrast

I agree with her analysis but I wish they didn't put foundation on you. The one she used makes your skin look yellow and fake. The right lip color doesn't need a foundation to look right on you.
