Ryan is the only person I currently can single handedly point to that is here boosting up players of the game, not just oh vorkath is this and that, its a consistent stream of, heres new boss, why I like/dislike it, heres me doing a no food solo, hes a begginers guide for you to get a kill, and heres a dps guide for every player to learn with. absolutely fantastic videos and the constant and consistent uploads always make me excited even when they're not relevant to me, well done mate, I look forward to the next ones :).
i really appreciate these videos, i'm not great at combat and it's really relieving to be able to go into it with some sort of knowledge, thanks for making them!
If you’re using the supreme invig aura and the omniguard, you can fit the omni spec into your living death rotation, which will make all of your basics hit for 2x damage after using finger of death🤯 Try out the following rot: living death + adren pot -> ToD -> death skulls -> omni spec -> build adrenal for skulls and use rot as normal.
This is one of those vids I’ll listen to 1000 times so the info is burned into my brain forever. I do wish though you would have included pets, books, and dtb.
Great video like always ! Not sure if i missed it but didn't see any detailed explanation on the omni guard spec. It's an interesting one that boosts your auto attack damage and has a cool interaction with touch of death and auto attack stacks.
Not worth using in Living death, good as filler when waiting for your ult to come off CD Super interesting synergy with LD but there isn't enough adrenaline to use it there without losing a skulls
straight out that advanced part of the guide is incredible, get this down and youre dealing x2 damage. Living death with the adrenaline boosters is insane, it's so broken. They way ou have explained it is incredible and i am keen to practice becoming more manual when double dps is at stake. Incredible video.
Dude. Supreme invig is huge I didn’t think of that before I can never get that third skulls off but that aura will probs make it very easy for me! Thanks Ryan!
I'll definitely consider using that revo bar. Using the skeleton conjure on the revo bar was nice to not forget to keep it up but also meant that I wasn't consistently gaining adrenaline with each fire off of revolution, which was confusing compared to the other styles in timing when I can use my next spenders (dangerous when I need to do a defensive at the right time but whoops, that last cast didn't push me above 50% adrenaline!)
A useful note nowadays would be equilibrium aura. I'm doing all my rasial kills on it since it's so cheap to upkeep. Afaik the only aura that works on conjures and is worth it if you don't have biting 4/reaver ring/grimoire/kalg demon to ramp the crits.
The subscribe reminder actually worked because it made me realize that I wasn't subbed THIS WHOLE DAMN TIME???? I been watchin for like 2 years??? HOW? at some point youtube should've just auto subbed me lol
See i heard what you said and I understood what you said, but that will not stop me coming back to this video every time I need to work on my rotations. KILLER. FUCIKING. VIDEO
I did my first Zuk kill using your guide, wish I didn't take so much damage and have to use the checkpoints, but once I get that cape, I'm so excited to do more damage.
Quality videos as always, keep up the great work man! Just picked up the Necromancy overlay as having a visual way to track everything without having to stare at my buff bar is super helpful. Also, where can I find the rotation tracker above your action bar? I am sure you get asked this a lot but I think it looks neat!
Finally decided it was time to learn what i was doing wrong today after watching someone kill seiryu in like 1 minutes while i took 10, and oh my was i doing things ass backwards haha. Thank you for the easy explanation! Should help me massively with progressing in pvm ^-^
Love the video, but is it just me or should the "The Basics: Adrenaline Building" section of the video come before the "The Basics: Gaining and Spending Stacks" portion?
Great DPS Guide this will help me increase my damage with Necro and hopefully obtain the Zuk Cape soon. Few questions though, Do you use the Perk set up for all Necro Armors (Tank, DPS, T95) or do they all have separate Perks they should run. What exactly are the displays to the left of and above your Health Bar in game that display your Necromancy Attacks and Stacks? (I’m assuming an Alt1 overlay of some kind)
How were you able to the necromancy window on your layout and also I was wondering how you were able to do the bar that shows what abilities have been cast?? I think both of those would be super helpful for me! Thanks dude 🤘
1. he mentionned it in the video with mod ramen i think..its something that is available on ALT-1. You can always double check it. 2. As for ur other point, it isnt release to general public for safety reason.. i cant remember the exact reasons but i think lucadrio or ryan spoke about it
Death Grasp is 405-495% (average 450%) Finger of Death costs 6 Necrosis and does 270-330% (average 300%) Grasp does +40% per necrosis stack used Using Grasp with 6 Necrosis would be 690% average damage Using Finger -> Grasp would be 750% average damage Using Grasp with 6 necrosis -> Basic would be 790% average damage Finger also doesn't generate any adren, while basic does using Finger > grasp if both are available is a mistake if I'm not mistaken? from what the math tells me, finger is only worth using if you have excess adren, or you're in living death please @ correct me if I'm wrong on this
It's an Alt 1 add on. It's not in the base Alt 1 kit and you need to download a separate file. Wish someone would make a quality guide explaining how to get it working because it's a bit too complicated for me to give you a whole explanation via this comment. Best bet is to just figure out how the download works on your own like the rest of us did :D.
4:15 I was under the impression it was more powerful than finger of death outside of your ultimate, but less powerful than finger of death inside the ultimate. I'll have to mess with my timing on it. Honestly my first step is going to be finding out hwo to use that necromancy overlay so I don't waste a significant amount of time with max necrosis stacks and not knowing that because it's hard to find in my buff bar. I'm also watching this hoping to figure out what to use my adrenaline on since I have 2 adren gain arch relics and solid adren gain in my perks so either I'm not using the right spenders or I should actually dial back my relics/perks in favor of others that provide more straight dps. Back when necro came out I constantly needed adren because of the conjures.
What about bloating before living death, then using t95 spec after 2nd skulls to boost damage even more with autos? Also, if having trouble getting 3 death skulls while using mahj aura (which i think is better than invig for necro) you can renewal pot when youre almost 100 adren before living death so it doesnt have to be tick perfect.
In my short experience with necro, using the t95 spec in the middle of the living death rotation makes it very hard to either have the adrenaline ready for the last skulls without either having skeleton not commander or losing an extra finger during the rotation But if I get a relentless proc on one of the death skulls or the living death then the option I would do first is certainly the t95 spec edit: I was using mahjarrat aura during this which may explain why I feel I don’t have enough adrenaline at times, so never mind lol so for other fellow non supreme invigorate havers there’s an option :P
Difficult to do a generalized guide for auras which can be useful for different things. If you want pure dps and ignore everything else then the best order is "zerk auras (does not exist for necro)>mahj>invig" (invig MAY be better then mahj for necro, it's more of a comfort item though to make your rotation mistakes less impactful). That said, there are still non dps auras that can help your dps. Aegis and Vamp for example can be that extra boost that takes you from needing to eat occasionally to sustain, to relying on SS along and focusing more on your dps rotation (solid foods hurt your dps a lot, and sara brews are only a little better. People often ignore the fact chugging them gives you significant damage reduction for about 15 seconds until your ovl can fix it).
Hey love all your stuff! i was wonder if everyone here could help suggest revolution bars tiles locked to a preset bar, So i could have a bar that's set up like the one you have with just 3 slot as auto the rest manual while other bars could be 7 or 9 or complet manual, instead of it all being locked out at the same, as well as Auto Basic/ Threshold / Ultimate toggles being added to the different bar preset as well :)
Where can I get that overlay from? Been seeing people using it. Cool vid Ryan! I was hoping it would delve into the threads of fate incantation that seems to be really good to use. Maybe in a pt 2? :)
In the description :) as for ToF, it's not good for sustained, single target DPM but it's great on bosses with minions / multiple targets good combos are 1. Volley Sap Volley 2. Sap Volley Death Grasp
@rsguy can you please do an updated ed1 guide with necromancy? With the rise of vorkath, ed1 is better than ever for money making and bonds for lots of people
12:36 Wait, I don't get it, why would LD make basic attacks better than soul sap? Assuming no omni-guard or soulbound lantern, basic and sap both do 100 potency, and set up 1/3 of a 450 potency ability (assuming you Finger before LD runs out), meaning neither would seem to be better than the other. If you *do* have one t95 weapon you probably have both, so assuming the omni-guard spec isn't active during LD we compare 3x basic (with a +20 average potency from death spark) + 1x (boosted) finger for 810 potency and 27 adrenaline over 4 gcds (202,5 potency and and 6,75 adrenaline per gcd) against *5*x sap + 1x (5-skull) volley for 1250 potency and 45 adrenaline over 6 gcds (208,3 potency and 7,5 adrenaline per gcd). Which looks like soul sap is just better (not by much, sure, but certainly not *worse*)? So what am I missing? Is there some perk interaction I'm not thinking of? Did poison mechanics change so it's better to have few hitsplats than to have many? Are we assuming we carry an omni-guard spec into every LD except the opener, meaning basics really *are* way more damaging than saps, and we just pretend like that also applies to the opener so we can use the same LD rotation all the time? Or did I just screw up my math somehow?
hey man, i used to search for that live ability rotation bar above your action bar that shows you what you just used but I couldn't find it anywhere. Where did you find that?
Heya, thanks for the video. Why is it considered unwise to use volley of souls before reaching the maximum number of residual soul stacks? AFAICT there is no multiplier increase based on number of soul residue stacks available.
Because of the time taken. If u gather 5 souls. Then volley. That’s 6 abilities long. If you get 2 souls, then volley, then 3 souls, then volley. That’s 7 abilities long. So you spend an extra global cooldown, getting the exact same damage.
Just what I needed! However, the wiki says you should use precise 6 and Ruthless 1 on the off-hand, and you have it the other way around. Does it matter much?
The reason the wiki has it listed as aftershock on the mainhand is because you may have to remove the offhand to dismiss your conjures, and if you do that you lose your aftershock stacks It's very niche and shouldn't really matter, but for the absolute best scenario, Aftershock goes on Mainhand, Precise goes on offhand
Soul Strike really should only be used when you need a quick non-adren stun, (like at telos p4 minions for instance maybe, since it's also aoe); or when you can't afford the adren of death guard special, or it's on cd. Also in aoe situations, for stun/damage to a cluster of enemies. Blood Siphon is also aoe, and it really shines when you need healing and are surrounded; because it only heals you off of the aoe damage done to all but your main target (which won't take the chip damage in exchange for taking the bulk hit at the end) in a 2 square radius iirc; (so if you're 1v1, no healing, and smaller hit at the end, so not worth using.) Though, I'll also mention that in aoe, for every hit against aoe targets, the inspiration aura does generate adren. Spectral Scythe is also more aoe focused, and it can potentially generate soul stacks for the first 2 levels, and can kind of be likened to the melee abilities Cleave -> Hurricane -> Meteor Strike for levels 1,2, and 3 respectfully. So in Aoe, since it can generate soul stacks, it pairs well with Soul Strike, but since it uses 10% -> 20% (30% cumulative) -> 30% (60% cumulative) adren, outside of aoe, it's too big of a drain. (though, I do think scythe might count for a thresh at zuk for the archers that require it, so would be worth 1 & 2 then maybe).
Blood siphon and scythe are better for afking or slayer, usually not worth it for bossing. Soul strike is used for aoe/afk or as a stun at a few bosses such as zuk pizza phase on the first minion.
the perk guide on wiki says to put precise 6 on lantern and aftershock 4 on omni guard and explains why its switched/opposite then other combat style weapons. im just curious on why you have precise 6 on guard and aftershock 4 on lantern? is your weapon perk setup better or is what wikki says better?
They like aftershock on Mainhand so you can swap lanterns for Flanking 4, I'm not using flanking 4 on my low tier guide/setups so the order doesn't matter at all for me.
@@TheRSGuy ah okay, i didnt know that, im gunna switch the perks then like you have it. thank you for the heads up and great video! im a passed the beginers phase for most stuff but still learn something from you on every video. love the content.
ok so i have revolution set up for 5 slots starting wit seleton and ghost in the first two slots, touch of death, soul sap and auto basic. then i manually activate my thresholds and ultimates like volley of souls and finger of death. this way i dont have to worry about recasting my minions and revo builds adrenaline and stacks for me automatically. whats everyone think is tis solid or no??
