Second Coming was the event that pulled me back into collecting the X-Men in a major way, so I enjoyed the "extinction team" of X-Force quite a lot. I'm slowly working my way through the Uncanny X-Force omnibus I managed to snag earlier in the year as well. The first arc hasn't quite pulled me in like the Yost run immediately did, but I've heard it gets amazing by the end so I'm going to keep going. Either way, I'd like to see some omnibus prints for this era, as I never could get hold of a reasonably priced copy of the Messiah War hardcover. A hardcover collection for the Cable series that was running at the same time would be great as well.
Just started this collection, some are going to be virtually impossible to get unless you pay upwards of £200 (I live in the UK). Is Uncanny X-Force getting another reprint due to Covid-19?
Thank you for these reading orders. They are extremely helpful. But OMAR SIR, please do a batman reading order. You can divide it into 4 parts to make it easier. Part 1- year one- end of knightfall. Part 2- early odds to flashpoint. Part 3- new 52 titles. Part 4- rebirth and ongoing.
Omar, I’d like to pose this question to you. First, there are some stubborn people on the MMW forum(I’m beginning to wonder why I joined)who refuse to acknowledge my question as far as whether it is reasonable or not. So, should or will X-Force 116-129 be included in the final X-Force omnibus(if there ever is one)? I feel that the exclusion of those issues, even though they might not fit(they are better, I guess, in the X-Statix omnibus) might upset some people or make them interested, especially if the X-Statix omnibus was hard to find, at that point. Marvel is not against multiple dipping, so I could see them including them in a final X-Force omnibus also. For some reason, they seemed to not understand on the forum and were confused by my question. I’m not sure why they were confused. I’m sure you won’t be, Omar.! You probably have been asked this question before. Anyway, what do you think? Thanks!
I really liked that Si Spurrier run. I'm not even sure I can say why. I was just so goddamn weird, but also thematically coherent. (However, I did read it before the Remender UXF, which does that all better.) I'd really like an OHC of that, but I doubt it'll ever happen.
Great video Omar. What was the most recent x-story featuring Nate Grey X-Man? I thought they tied up that character right before Hickman's takeover. Keep up the good work. Have a great day.
The event right before 'House of X/Powers of X' involving Nate Grey was 'Age of X-Man'. Currently it is only available in trade paperbacks of the individual books. The alpha and omega bookend issues for the event are in 'The Marvelous X-Men' trade.
We already know there's a X of Swords hardcover solicited, and the next set of trades is being solicited as Dawn of X: Nation Building, so it looks like they're setting up an easily distinguishable break point for two eventual hardcover collections between House of X/Powers of X and X of Swords. The first would be the six Dawn of X trades combined, and then the next would be the (presumably) six Dawn of X: Nation Building trades combined. The issues in the trades are already in the X-Office reading order, so throw in any promo material, any missed variant covers for a gallery, and maybe an interview, and that's your hardcover collection done easy.
Omar, do you think the following is a good deal: I could get XForce by Kyle and Yost vol 1 and 2 OHC, X Necrosha OHC, and Second Coming OHC for about $170. I would be double dipping here as I have all this material in tpb’s. I also have Messiah War as a tpb as well. Do you think that is a good deal, or is it overkill? Perhaps this material will be in a newer collection, possibly an omnibus since it has been a while since these collections have been out in OHC format? I would appreciate your feedback on this Omar. Thanks!
If you like the books oversized I say offer 120 to 150 at most. I know they are out of print, but they never reprint OHCs. I just know retail was 30 to 35 each.
I appreciate these vids a whole bunch. So I barely know anything about x-men and x-force because I never really cared, but one of my favourite Marvel characters is definitely Domino, I just read a couple of stuff with but not a lot. But because of you I'm getting more invested. The first I wanted to buy was the Uncanny X-Force omnibus by Remender. Is that okay to read without reading any of the other titles you mentioned?
@@NearMintCondition Thanks a bunch! I mighy be able to find some of them here, we have an old comic store in Bruges with all kinds of little gems hidden in there!
What are the odds of us ever getting a reprint of the Kyle/Yost X-Force oversize hardcover? I'm not loving the prospect of having to shell out around $100 to get my hands on a copy.
Looking forward to Uncanny X-Force omni. I bought it on Amazon but I'm probably gonna return it so I can save a lot of money and wait to buy it on IST.
