idk why they don't look into this idea again. especially with the advancement in technology they can easily squash the problems that the Concord had

troundtree97, yea they can just bring back the Concorde just with the problems fixed, and we'll be able to get around faster as well

They haven't fixed the sonic-boom problem, and that is the most important because people dont want to hear a jet flying faster than the speed of sound over there houses.

the problem was this type of transportation deem too expensive to be use for commercial flight. The price of the tickets cannot cover the total maintance of the aircraft .

Concorde was a technological marvel. I grew up in the west of England and remember looking up as a child in the 1970s to see that glorious plane fly overhead.

First of all, the Concorde was plagued with technical and financial problems from the start, like an insanely small range for a plane at the time and the overwhelming cost of fuel for each flight. There's a reason the Concorde isn't flying all of it's two routes anymore. Second, the pricing for each ticket costed well in the 5,000 dollar range for the cheapest fares, so good luck trying to fly with a small budget, especially with a decent sized family. The Concorde, in general, is a pretty terrible plane; the only good thing about it is it's speed, and looks. Besides, companies are trying to bring back commercial supersonic travel like BOOM Supersonic. These companies are taking advantage of newfound technology that just didn't exist in the late sixties and early seventies, like computer simulation and new carbon fiber alloys. So instead of being stuck in the past, why don't you look into the future?

I would rather spend 7 hours in the best seat on a Boeing 747 or A380 than 3.5 hours in a slightly better economy seat for ~20% more money.
@patthonsirilim5739
@patthonsirilim5739 4 года назад
@@donut5818 today first class seats cost less then concorde seat the problem with concorde is the fact that it does not make much sense in terms of comfort or speed why would you pay more for a economy plus compare to a flying bed with all the bell and whitsle and if speed is your argument why not fly privite jet its more flexible they can go to any route leave and land any time you desire you dont have to deal with normal passenger bs once you factor in the time you save on boarding landing inspection and other stupid process comercial liner have to go through the time difference is not as big and once you start doing shorter route privite aviation have concorde killed in time savings from a to b and a to b is what matter to important buiness flyer not actual flight time so concorde in the end only makes sense as technological showcase and for aviation enthusiast but the problem with the plane is exactly that except for those reason it does not have a reason to exist

Tidal Yacht it's was introduced in 1977, normally new tech becomes the Norm and things get cheaper. 40 years later you would think that it would of gotten cheaper or this speed would just be the normal speed for planes.
@gabriel.moreno8173
@gabriel.moreno8173 7 лет назад
Tidal Yacht ok maybe you're a little slow. You wouldn't bring back the concord. The concord would just be the normal way to fly. I would think that 40 years after introduce, a person way smarter than me would figure a way to make it cheaper and everybody would just fly this way.

Concorde. What a Superior Jet, made in the late 60's. Now, listen to this and spread the word. SuperSonic travel is possible within 3/5yrs. I'm in contact with a company from the States, who has made 2jets able for sonic speed. Smaller, lighter, quieter and more economical. And 75% less expensive than Concorde. I have much information of these Jets, and the Delta wing and sonic vents are the same as from Concordes blue prints. SuperSonic is almost here. Testing of these jets will start next year.

fishmitten69 Look it up, it's all over the net, Richard Branson has put money towards the Project. I'm afraid No Concorde will fly again. But, she still looks bloody good, and able to fly still. Look up Sonic Boom Projects, in America. There is over a 30plane order already, Sonic Boom can only build 5 jets a year.

"Faithfully maintained by Airbus" My ass!! If Airbus REALLY cared they wouldn't of refused to continue to provide support for the plane back in the day when it was flying and subsequently bring the greatest plane of all times life to a premature end.

If you've done even a lick of research on the plane, you'd know it had some flaws. Just because it looks kinda cool and flew pretty fast doesn't mean it needs to be worshiped like a shaman. Every plane has flaws, kind of like every country has laws, and you can't change that. Don't get me wrong, flying on one of these short lived planes must've been a pretty cool experience, like driving a car for the first time, or something like that but just know that you should do some more snooping before you formulate an opinion.
