This is the first time I’ve ever heard the second definition of “strive” before! I’ve only heard it in the sense of “put forth effort” and I was very confused at first.
Many a woman has married the wrong man and many a man has married the wrong woman. Trouble is, by the time you find out, it’s too late. Imo, not enough premarital counciling happens in church.
Premarital counciling is the problem. The modern church does not teach biblical marriage they don’t teach the order of God. God , the messiah , man , woman , children. Pre marital counseling teaches men need to simp to the women which God opposes throughout scripture. They push books like the 5 love languages and help meet. These books emasculate men. At the same time they teach it’s the men’s fault for any woman being nagging and quarrelsome. Message after message on this subjective seen remove all accountability from women talking about the verses and put the fault on men. That is a woman is this way it’s because a man has not done enough to take her on date nights listened to a woman’s ever changing emotions enough.. all this does is feed the fire of the contention
