Hello from Memphis Tennessee.. I'm only 66 but I wanna be like Mick when I grow up.. He puts so many "young" people to shame with his work ethic.. Love the progress .keep cracking on
72 here from Albany, New York and I find Mick inspirational and motivates me to get outside and have fun! Thanks Steve to help Mick clean-up the yard. Damn brambles getting Mick all scratched up. “Wounded yard warrior”. That is Mick’s new badge of honor.
Brambles! They got the best of Mick. 😢. Yanis, you must be a beast on the dance floor, too!! 👏. The tile finish looks great, Billy! One day, all the wall work will be cleared, and the grass growing! It will be beautiful! Yanis and Simon always make a days’ work count! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
Sink tiles are beautiful! Grass out back is really greening up! Sympathy for Mick brambles battle! Great work with plasterboard fit! Excellent episode! 😊❤🥰🥳🎉👍💖
Hello to you all. Great work going on in the garden. It’s amazing how much work has been done since the beginning of all the work out there. What a transformation inside and out. Billy your visions for this old convent is inspiring and fun to watch.❤❤❤
Mick reminds me of Former USA President Jimmy Carter. Busy everyday, positive attitude, reliable hard worker and a steady hand at backyard garden renovation. No wonder Billy and Michael have such EXCELLENT WORK HABITS.
I was glad to see your dad is OK. I'm a bit of a visionary so I believed the trim around the backslash would look great. Well done. One step closer to the kitchen being done.
Would love to see a before and after (or current state) of the “garden” or “yard” as we would say in the US. What a transformation from when Steve and Rick first tackled that jungle!!!😄🙌🏼🇺🇸
Seeing the kitchen chandelier from the dining hall is lovely. I expect, looking in the opposite direction that, once the library is done, it will be just as dramatic.
Darn brambles, they had to try and fight back and still lost, they were removed and tried to take Mick with them. Glad you won Mick!!! You have a tremendous spirit to live and keep moving and I can say that I am proud of you. My dad will be 80 this next spring and I can only hope that he will be as lively. This building is going to be truly amazing when complete. The back splash is lovely and completes the look you wanted Billy. You all have a wonderful day
Sympathy for you Mr Petherick snr. Those Brambles love holding on. You doing a brilliant job, can see lovely green carpet popping up in the background.
Poor Mick! Those brambles have tiny little thorns that are painful because you can’t see them when they embed in your fingers or hands.. can’t imagine getting across the face😮.
Love the border around the backsplash! Billy, your Dad is AMAZING and such an INSPIRATION to us ALL! Hope all of his minor scratches and injuries heal quickly. Another very productive day by EVERYONE - Billy, Mick, Steve, Simon, Yanis, Alex & Clive! Well done.
Know the ceiling is hard to measure. But it's a great job. Mick got it bad on the tree. But the garden is really coming together. Going to be beautiful
I have an idea for the former doorway 2:50 which is now blocked up with cinder blocks. You could make a faux door out of old boards found in the convent and hang it back on the original hinges left in the stonework. You could also hand a poster of Count Dracula on the wall behind the door so when a curious adventurist is attracted to the door and wondering what might be behind it, would open the door and unexpectedly find the Count standing there behind it. A faux door would be much more visually appealing than the cinderblocks as a garden feature.
I thought the backsplashes looked fine, but now they look superb. A great trim to finish them off. The travertine tile is beautiful and goes so well with the rest of the beautiful kitchen. I'm really looking forward to seeing that bottom floor completed, and I would love to see some footage of a function using the facilities. The convent will be a lovely place to visit and to stay, if you end up offering that option for members of the public.
I love the backsplash! It is appropriate for a French kitchen. I can’t believe people said they hated it. Mick, those darn brambles are such a nuisance. I hope you heal up quickly. The dining room looks like a room now. It’s coming along very quickly thanks to Simon and Yanis’s expertise. We will miss you Alex. ❤
The backslash looks great, Billy! LOVE the border. ❤ Simon and Yannis have been doing such tedious work. Mick, Rick and Steve have been workhorses in the yard. What an incredible week of work. 😊
I do hope Mick's injuries heal fast, and that he is not in too much pain. I truly admire him for his knowledge and hard work. You should be very proud of him Billy.
Mick, I hope Im as full of the energy as you are after I retire. You and your family are a joy to watch. keep on keeping on.. and damn those brambles to hell.. lol
I know how you feel Mick, my right hand is covered in plasters for the same reason. I have been fence painting and cracking on as much as I can, but the dreaded brambles get everywhere. Commiserations. I love the splashback it is great. Simon and Yanis are doing cracking work with the plasterboard. The weather is changing tomorrow late on, so you might want to cover the new concrete Billy. 😄
Everything is coming along nicely.. I really like the back splash, I always thought it was the best plan for the space.. I can't believe how fast things are progressing.. Great Crew.!!
