Rakhigarhi flourished on the banks of one of the tributaries of river Sarasvati. Disha ji should take the ṚgVeda into consideration for her works becoz ṚgVeda is the only Indian text that is mentioning Sarasvati and it's tributaries in contemporary sense. Post ṚgVedic text Tandya Brahmana mentions drying of Saraswati and this event can be dated to 1900 BCE - that was the time when this river dried.

What were the methods of commuting on land across the Harappan settlements? Would it be possible to build such a large span with slow land transport? It's said that the same people continued across periods, and bulls do not travel long distance pointing to the living patterns that continued across periods, so which animals did they use for land transport?

They had akashgamani vidhya especially siddha Charan munis and vidhyadharas There were lot of other such vidhyas especially u would find reference in Jainism whose ancient name is shraman dharma or anekantawad also called samanism or shramanism, way ancient dharma than Buddhism and has complete kaalchakra or time cycle defined 😊

How did Harappans communicate their knowledge of science and technology across generations? Is it possible to do that for the longish period they survived without writing everything down?

Its called script

The Vedas too were passed on for many generations without a script. This is another proof that Harappan culture is Vedic.

The correct name may be Bharatiya Sabhyata, similar to Egyptian Civilization. This is the first Bharatiya Civilization, and can be named after Bharat named in the Rig Veda. The language used must have been Sanskrit and the people in Rakhigarhi were Puru , named in the Vedic Civilization. The similarity between the Rig Veda and the material culture of Harappan sites is very stricking.
@DiatomAlgae
@DiatomAlgae Год назад
The material culture of Harappan sites and the Rig Veda can be easily compared. No Kings, Palaces, Tombs, Temples, Idols, etc., are mentioned in the Rig Veda and no evidence of these have been found in Harappan sites. The material culture of Harappan sites is very complex, the brick dimensions, weights and measures, drainage, etc., are very logical, systematic, complex, disciplined, etc. Similar logic, systems, disciplines can be seen in Sanskrit language and the Vedas, they are as complex as the material culture. The number of syllables in each Rk of the Rig Veda are counted - Gayatri Mantra is 8 + 8 + 8 syllables. Even today the Vedas are recited in the same way, all over India, 3 million sq km, 5,000 years. The material culture all over Harappan sites is uniform / similar, 1 million sq km, 2,000 years. Therefore the Harappan civilization is the Vedic Culture.
@Rudra-iu1vk

Vedic culture was rooted in rural pastoralism in contrast to Harappan culture which is very urbanized and augmented by a strong sedentary agriculturist population. Vedic Aryans are essentially nomadic pastoralists from what is now Bronze Age Uzbekistan/Tajikistan/Northern Afghanistan ie Bactria
@DiatomAlgae
@DiatomAlgae Год назад
@@Rudra-iu1vk Please stop parroting what you read in your text books, think for yourselves. Please give some proof that Vedas were composed by nomadic pastoralists and they there were some group called 'Aryans' and that they came from Central Asia. Can nomads develop such a complex language as Vedic Sanskrit? The Harappans were buying Lapis Lazuli from Northern Afghanistan / Tajikistan, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sar-i_Sang , between 2,600 and 1,900 BCE. So why don't Vedas mention this, if so called 'Aryans' were present in this area before 1,500 BCE. How can nomadic pastorals have developed Sanskrit and composed the Vedas, both are very complex and indicate a very high level of social organization, a settled life. Sanskrit developed and composition of the Vedas took place BEFORE the start of the Harappan urban culture in 3,300 BCE. The composers lived in a very prosperous agrarian society, with enough free time to think of philosophy, etc. In my opinion the Rig Veda is sort of like the Constitution for the Harappan culture. Every aspect of the Harappan culture can be explained with reference to the Rig Veda.

@ramboram03 Год назад
@@DiatomAlgae He is actually right dude, complex language structures are seen in Uralic groups so being urban is not a dictum for complexity, and it should be noted most of the reformed Sanskrit occurs after Panini reformed Sanskrit transforming into the Classical variety . There is no question that Sanskrit itself originates in South Central Asia via the cultural symbiosis between Steppe Nomads and the local Agriculturalist communities in Central Asia. That is evident in the latest archaeogenetic data as well. Whatever the Harappans spoke was distantly related to Dravidian or formed its own family , in either case it was rapidly replaced once Indo Aryan groups accultured the Punjab Plains from the Afghan highlands.
@DiatomAlgae
@DiatomAlgae Год назад
@@ramboram03 Why is there "..no question that Sanskrit originated in South Central Asia ..".? What is the evidence of Proto-Indo-Aryan or Sanskrit in that area, all arguments are purely hypothetical. There was no Bronze Age civilization in that area. Today no one speaks Sanskrit there. What evidence is there that Harappans spoke Dravidian or another language, other than Sanskrit? What evidence is there of any 'Indo Aryan group' replacing Harappans. Harappan civilization collapsed due to drying up of the Sarasvati and reduced flow in Sindhu, due to a 200 year drought from 1,900 to 1,700 BCE and perhaps also due to discovery of Tin in Cyprus around 1,700 BCE. If there was an influx of migrants, why would they settle in the same area, that had been abandoned by the earlier inhabitants. Why would an Urban Civilization be replaced by Pastorals? The sequence of development is Hunter gatherer, Pastorals, Agriculture, Urban. The Harappan Script developed into Brahmi and then into Nagri. The language too developed from Vedic Sanskrit to Classical Sanskrit to Panini Sanskrit.

Your view does not hold water where farming and when it comes in, it was already there before Harappa, everything began when ATOM was first discovered now SEEk who discovered and which Clan stole it for their advantage..... then answer to civilisations can be easily extracted with available existing worldwide texts, who destroyed whom for survival and still not ashamed of championing copied texts for Authoriaion Rule with biased claim.
