I bought my first angel album, white hot, based purely on the cover. After hearing the record, I was hooked. I immediately bought all their disks. I play a black strat with a white pick guard and rosewood neck, still today because Punky played one. I was lucky enough to see them on their final tour in 1980 and still remember it vividly. Thank you for having Frank on here, brother. What an amazing interview!

I met Frank and Punky in 2019! A dream come true. My fave band since 78! Finally got to see them in May 2019. Got a meet n greet! They were AWESOME! Sounded really great live! New line up is phenomenal! Can't wait for new album! Risen is a solid blockbuster! I almost cried when I met Punky and Frank! Waited a lifetime 4 that moment! They rocked at almost 70 years approximately! Great interview! I enjoyed this one a Lot! Angel is #1 forever!

I finally got to finish this terrific interview. Angel was one of the bands I’d see in Circus magazine but never had the opportunity to hear (I was too young to be buying records so I was limited to what my older brother bought). There is no doubt that next to KISS, Angel was the coolest looking band of the era. One day, I will own a white cortex Ludwig drum kit just like Barry had. Btw, Frank seems like a great guy. It’s nice to see he is still in the business and seems quite happy and successful.

Timeline wise those Sid and Marty Krofft shows were way earlier than Angel’s career.. (oddly enough I guested on Sid’s Instagram show a few months ago) Loved those Angel records for 40 years now after my aunt who worked at Casablanca gave several to me.. (had to find Helluva Band, Sinful and Live w/out a Net on my own) My uncle (former vice president of Casablanca) Larry Harris was having Gregg Giuffria over for Thanksgiving one year and when I found that out was immediately on the phone.. Gregg was cool as I gushed about his playing for around 20 minutes.. nice guy.. I prefer the early progressive albums and wish they weren’t under so much pressure to have hits later on... everything just kept getting cheekier.. had they cranked out a few more strong ones it might have lasted longer.. who knows.. good stuff.. good stuff..

The Tower , Mirrors , and Under Suspicion were some of the Heaviest songs of the 1970s . Frank could scream as high , and powerful as Dan Mac Cafferty , Geddy Lee , and Anne Wilson . I recently purchased the Angel - Casablanca years , I was blown away reading the liner notes they never mentioned how Devastatingly Heavy Under Suspicion , and Mirrors were . Just as Heavy as Nazareth - Miss Misery , Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath , Aerosmith - Nobody's Fault , Deep Purple - Burn , Judas Priest - Dissident Aggressor , Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand , KISS - She , or Sweet Into the Night . Angel was Metal as the 1970s got . Just as Heavy as Scorpions - Sails of Charon , Montrose - Matriarch , or Kansas - Death of Mother Nature Suite . Angel was even better than words could describe . Why One Helluva Band didn't out sell AC/ DC - Back in Black remains a mystery . Extremely underrated band .

I heard about the elaborate shows Angel put on but hearing Frank describe the towers built up and each band member announced n stepping out and then at the end how you went into youre album covers just BLOWS MY MIND...I would of paid GOOD money for a show as such..and you guys should of definitely been just as big as kiss if not bigger...in my search of bands from back in the day im finding alot of Great bands tht are totally underrated...Johnny Dee from Britny Fox is a big fan of Barry Brandt and I was listening to his commentary one day n I had to check out Barry ..to my surprise I rediscovered ANGEL and Guiffria...both bands I knew of but was reintroduced too....🎹🥁🎸💯🎤❤️🎙️😎

Angel was an amazing band. I remember them back in the 80's and they had the arena rock sound down solid. I thought they were so far ahead of other bands at the time. I got Angel's 1st album in High School in 1975 when I was 17 cause it was going around among the cool people..It was Kick Ass..So I figured they were older than me by at least a few years..I'm 62 now so Frank Dimino has to be in his LATE 60's here..He looks fuckin' great...Impossible..Angel was Killer, and I seen them at The Hollywood Sportatorium in Fla in 1980..Maybe their last album tour...I'm not sure...I watched Punky up close cause I loved his playing on the album, and they were all great..I prayed over the decades that they would get back together but it never happened..It might happen? They're not too old? I guess older people now a daze are not like older people like back in the 30s, 40s and 50s...Even women now look great into their 60s too, and they don't look like Aunt Bee anymore like way back when....Must be technology...lol.

Huge Angel fan since their 'White Hot' album and tour and heavily influenced by Barry Brandt. However, I just can't get into or support what Frank and Punky have been doing for the past few years. Sorry but that's not Angel. I also couldn't get with the 2000 version that had Frank and Barry with some other players in white. It's all original for me or nothing... too bad Barry, Felix and Gregg just aren't really interested in doing anything with the original members or for the 'hard core fans' such as me. (of course minus Mickie Jones, sad that he died) EDIT... with such a hugely visual band (like Kiss) it's a shame there is very little video footage of the band.
