I will never forget hearing Gerald sing O Holy Night at the NQC in the early 2000s. Amazing! It hurts my heart that he is having such difficulty with his voice.
Great interview. It is a blessing having a person wit a so deep love for christian music and specially those old songs. I saw Gerald in person at the concerts of gospel music and he really is a person of God. Those concerts are a blessing to me who grew up singing those traditional hymns. My prayers is that God continue giving Gerald strength to continue this great ministry of bringing the old songs back to the present. Regarding Jaime she is a great person and her questions to Gerald were very appropriated.
Jaime clearly knows how to make a person whom she is interviewing, open up:-)To me Gerald Wlfe's response to her enthousiast way of talking was important, because I had watched Gerald ''at work '' in his most inspiring programs of hym singing. What struck me there was the total commitment in everything he did..He was totally himself: totally genuine . In short : I saw a man who is really very happy, because he knows Jesus. In his conversation with Jaime Vaughn I saw the same Gerald again: a very sincere man. That is so refreshing, because I hate FAKE. I think that being forced into isolation because of Corona most be quite frustration for him , because it is quite clear what his spiritual task is in life: making people rejoice in the Lord and sing about it. I hope for you that soon the time will come that you can do what you are so goods at: hymns singing and conducting :-)
thank y ou. i wish we could clone Gerald Wolfe....we need hundreds like him in our churches!!!! the music in churches has crumbled and needs education by the Spirit!
