i dont know if its the atmosphere and him being in his studio or the fact that its a one on one interview with a camera, but he's so relaxed and open in a way that he's not on television or talk shows. i saw him this past summer in san francisco and it was pure magic, luckily we got him in the earlier parts of his tour and he sounded great, but his voice is a bit off right now and it sounded shot when he was on fallon last week. but he's so charismatic and enticing on stage and his music is flawless that it doesn't weaken the show if his voice is off and i applaud him for singing live anyways without a backtrack. he won two grammy's too :) ♡♡
I was at that Red Rocks show, and it was the coolest experience of my life! Jack white is a bloody rock god, and really is the epitome of modern music.
Jack is the most talented person in music, wise beyond his time and space, and has more integrity than anyone yet, in the art of music and out. He truly deserves spoils, yet he works hard for you and me and them. Thanks for dedicating your life and soul to us, Jack! For the music you give, the re-education of the music format, and helping so many people have a chance, a voice, Jack, you are a prodigy, an old soul, a gift to this lifetime. God bless!
Klepper is a unique man, and one of the best interviewers there is today. His intelligence, wit, and quick-witted retort-filled questions seem to always catch the lesser intelligent off guard. Mr. White matches the same ❤️
I just saw him for the first time in Utah and the key of the venue is a real thing. He was going off before one song how we were all living in the key of G and didn't know it, and how our the altitude makes everything sound unique.
Love the comment about the Red Rocks show ~ the printed tickets stated "Rain of Shine" instead of "Rain or Shine" and I believe that was an epiphany for the shining performance during an unrelenting rainstorm. Amazing show!

Melanie Boe I like his hair better now too. I imagine it's a lot more work now tho as he has grey hair and to touch-up the roots on the sides must take constant attention. Otherwise, he would have silver sides and a black top.

The new Hair style is cool! 😎 He worked as an Upolsterer and hid 100 Singles in the couches he worked on. So 100 people are sitting on couches that contain a collectible record! Who thinks of things like that? Only Jack White! He keeps taking risks and it keeps paying off! Kudas to JW! I admire him because he innovates constantly!
+Bónne B a lot of his songs are like that: icky thump, dead leaves and the dirty ground, I'm finding it harder to be a gentleman, hello operator, little bird etc.
Henry v Zyl well yeah, but in those songs it's really obvious for some reason I think of seven nation army and like in my head i can hear it with words in the chorus, and then i'm like no there aren't any in those other songs it doesn't fuck with my head
I used to feel confused by White's fascination of art as artifact - concealing records in furniture, etc. While watching this interview, however, I realized that I've done something akin to it for years. When the mood strikes, I will take a Sharpie to the supermarket on a regular shopping trip. I'll select a can of cat food and draw, to the best of my ability, a bit of ornate facial hair on the cat, then put it back on the shelf before I leave the store. Easiest is just a pencil-thin moustache. When I feel more vested in the effort, it'll be a Van Dyke or Wolverine sideburns. I've always hoped that whoever purchased these embellished products was able to get a big belly laugh out of them. I'll never know for certain, but I'll always hope. Jack White gives me hope. In 2017, that's a freakin' miracle.
+Muradean That's interesting. I've never thought about it before, but I can see that, personality-wise. They were/are somewhat eccentric artists who take their craft _very_ seriously, have their own sense of style and fashion, have very strong ideals regarding their craft, have unique tastes, and are both absolutely obsessed with examining or playing with perception; what's real and what's fake, and all that. Yeah, I totally see that.
I've thought the same! I thought I was alone in my thinking. Good to know someone else gets it! Orson Wells was genius and it went over so many people's heads. Jack has that same special quality
jeez. i always thought his looks reminded me of 'someone'. i just couldn't put my finger on who, but now that you mention it, he looks like orson wells when he smiles, and orson's smile. holy cow, that is who he reminds me of. how funny. and then the third man name, that is who he reminds me of all the time but i never could quite place his the person whose face he reminds me of. it is orson wells. thanks for clearing that up i was going crazy about it.
I liked blunderbuss but his new album sounds a bit weak, its like who ever mastered it took the term levelling a bit to serious and literally levelled everything into a block.
