Thank you, Justin, for increasing the Canadian Navy ships and spending on the ship yards that imploye thousands of Canadians and for keeping the building of these new vessels in- house .....Canadian ship building will now be able to build ships for Canada.

Wouldn’t it make sense for the RCN to join the RAN’s procurement of the AUKUS nuclear powered submarines rather than going for a conventional diesel-electric?

What a joke, only building 2 new replenishment ships. So if one is in drydock getting overhauled they are down to 1 ship. Wouldn't common sense dictate you should build 3 of those?

Question does the British monarchy put food on Canadians tables? Does it pay my bills? Does it build me a home? Does the symbol keep me safe? The answer to all is no. But America 🇺🇸 does all of these I am North American we need to embrace our American identity monarchy divides us

‘Design spirals’.. sums things up amongst many of the 🇨🇦 procurements. Glad he recognized this as we need assets out there sooner rather than later and not 20+ years down the road, then they’ll be dealing with obsolete equipment.

So basically the RCN will not be investing in high end capable vessels like lhd’s or ESB’s that will give the RCN better flexibility and improve their operational capabilities. They need to have organic over the horizon capabilities,no they don’t need a marine corps but maritime trained army infantry regiments that can perform those tasks. The Canadian Armed Forces are hindered by the political ideology of their political leaders who keep the doctrine of depend on our allies to meet our needs, the Canadian Armed Forces deserves better.

That's just not a thing appropriate for the size of the CF. The new 15 Type 26s will be top of the line for ASW and provide solid air defense to be able to integrate and offer a LOT of value for naval operations. If ground troops are needed, they will be airlifted along with the hardware needed. LHD-style ships are an offense capability and just doesn't fit within the budget or mandate of the canadian forces. I personally think we should have one specifically meant for humanitarian mission deployments, but I'm different lol

Our Navy cannot deploy the Army for amphibious operations. That would require assistance by allied Navies. I think it's rare for our Army to even get that training I knpw they have done it along side the USN/USMC but it's few and far between training wise.
@bennuredjedi
@bennuredjedi 5 месяцев назад
@@funkybuddha2448 That's understandable in regards to the budget, but they could have purchased the ex USN Tarawa class LHA's for a reasonable price, at least 2 of them for Multipurpose operations to include HADR . The CAF will need that organic Expeditionary capability sooner than what they believe especially in the Indo Pacific which requires an armed forces to have that capability, Canada must stop playing catchup and start being proactive in their acquisitions

I love everything this guy had to say about the production of new Canadian Navy vessels and his will for construction to be faster. But our new River-Class Destroyers schedule is far too slow. We won't acquire all of our vessels for 25 years. This is just unacceptable. We need them within this decade, not a generation from now.

The RCN has never been in a weaker state at it is right now. Littoral fleet: about 26 vessels, heaviest armaments; Six 25 mil pop guns. Seemingly the backbone of its self defence, each vessel two WW2 machine guns in open air pedastals as if in Pearl Harbor 1941. Four dangerous to thier crew submarines. Eight Orca vessels west coast, zero deck armament. 12 Kingston vessels whom in 2014 they removed its 40mm Bofors, yet replaced with nothing. Twelve over worked aging frigates, our blue water navy. So for strictly 202, 000 kms coastline defence: zero missiles, zero torpedoes zero depth charges, zero 20mm CIWS. Pathetic joke of NATO. This would be funny if not the subject of defence of our realm.
