Excellent interview, Nick & Heath! Great to hear all about the behind-the-scenes of making both books & the personal stories. So many great insider memories! Really happy you were able to get together & make this happen - many thanks!
I loved Knight Rider as a kid. I especially remember so clearly that Richard Basehart opening. "A shadowy flight into the world of a man who does not exist..." Awesome.
IMHO the best thing about that opening narration is it told you what Knight Rider was about in the most simple way possible and it was also a way for the spirit of Richard Basehart to live on as well, immortalized in pop culture history forever. That whole opening credits sequence from the purple desert (El Mirage Dry Lake) to the theme music is just so iconic, unlike any other television show that's came after it.
@@KRCompanion Complete agreement. Iconic is exactly the right word. Yeah Knight Rider and Airwolf will always hold a special place in my 80s kid heart.
You can feel his passion for "Knight Rider." I honestly haven't re-visited the show since childhood (when I loved it), but this vid made me think to do so.
