Wendy Baxter is a forest canopy ecologist who has conducted research in some of the most pristine old-growth giant sequoia and coast redwood forests in California for more than a decade. She oversees Ancient Forest Society programs, collaborates on research and contributes to general operations. Wendy is a co-founder of Canopy Dynamics LLC, a private forest research, consulting, and media company. Based in South Lake Tahoe, CA, Wendy also makes short films to educate and inspire others to appreciate the beauty of our diverse and interconnected planet.
Teresa Muthoni has extensive experience in empowering community based organizations in environmental management. Specifically her work experience involved promoting local knowledge and community dialogue for sustainable development, management of forest and water resource management, and gender integration in Natural resource management. She is able to create initiatives that truly listen to the local communities especially women and support them to discover their potential. She have worked with local and international organizations for over 15 years and currently manage One Tree Planted supported projects in Africa. Teresa holds a Master’s Degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi, and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental science.
Stephanie Sinclair is a narrative and documentary film producer specializing in independent and environmental cinema. She began tree planting in northern British Columbia in 2016 while simultaneously completing her BFA in Cinema from TMU. Stephanie planted approximately half a million trees in BC over 5 years, and went on to assist Rita Leistner on her debut feature film entitled Forest for the Trees, which Stephanie was also interviewed in. She currently works as the video Production Manager at One Tree Planted and is continually inspired by the reforestation communities and its associated stories.
