Thank you both for talking about this. I have been struggling with my identity for a long time. I'm a people pleaser, so I morph my likes and dislikes to make myself blend into certain groups of people. I know this video was more about making the content you like on youtube, but it really helped me see that I shouldn't care what others think about what I like and dislike as long as I enjoy them. I am of similar age as the group and I'm thankful for these "hangout" videos, as I call them. I can relate and feel a part of the group which actually helps me develop in my life cuz it's all covos I haven't had with my people around me.

This made me tear up. I spent 25 years being the person I thought everyone else wanted me to be. 25 years of my life. Finally in my 30s I can say I am the person I want to be and that I have goals that are not centered around what others want for me but what I want for myself. Do the things that make you happy and be kind. It's as simple as that.

Thank for sharing your thought and feeling with us and you are right about mental health is important because not everyone talks about there feeling because they might feel judgements, trust issues, less caring, and maybe frustrations with other people. At times we get caught up in the moment, content creating, following along with the crowd, doing fun things we feel are potentially fulfilling. At some point, we eventually realize that we're spiraling, turning our wheels faster and faster, but not really moving forward. Instead we find ourselves loaded with questions about happiness which leads to our own self-fulfilling beautiful journey. Y'all are not alone guys, millions go through this phase in their lives. i really loved this vod, i too am in my early 20's and i have realized that i shouldnt be afraid to show who i really am. It really hit me when woods was talking about "you should be your real self because the people who love you and support you will be around you". that is ground breaking.

I totally understand what Woods meant when he said you change a lot in your 20s. I just turned 20 in May and I went from a timid girl with self esteem issues to a confident person who's getting better at learning to love themselves every day. And I can honestly say, Catherine, that your videos are helping me figure out who I want to be in life. I want to surround myself with people that support me no matter what, I want to learn how to be happy with myself, I want to have fun and not care what others say, I want to be authentic. So thank you.

We care about you guys! And you don’t have to feel forced to act happy when you aren’t happy! We aren’t always happy and when we see people happy all the time, couple things go in my mind: 1. The person seems fake; 2. Like I said prior, we can relate to you when you are honest and straight up tell us, “Guys, I’m not feeling the most positive right now;” 3. Mostly, it’s not good to bottle up your sadness, negative feelings. LET ‘EM OUT GURRRRL!!! lol

First off, I would just like to say that I love watching you guys. I love hearing about the life events and watching the challenges and stuff that you do on your channels. And with everything that you guys have been saying on these vlogs have pretty much been hitting the nail on the head. The only thing that I can say is, to keep up the positive side of things. I am 37 years old and still dealing with the mental issues that I have been dealing with all my life. And fortunately, I have youtubers such as yourselves to spring back on and help me forget my daily struggles. All of you are a true blessing at times and I appreciate everything that you do! I dont really watch a lot of different channels with the exception of the entire HI5 studios and maybe a few other so when I say that you guys are a true blessing, I mean every word!

i legitly needed this today. I haven't posted in a while because I just haven't gotten traction and i have felt lost.

I remember in a social media business class, one of the lessons encouraged us to have a fake personality. Something about it rubbed me the wrong way, but I didnt have the words to explain it til now. As an autistic person, I spent so much of my childhood faking and masking, so trying to figure out myself and unmask now as a young adult is so weird and confusing.

I rarely like videos, I liked this one, I understood everything about it, hitting your mid 20s is ruff being 27 almost 28 having little to show for it, losing my social life and friends is soul destroying and it’s hard to rebuild. It’s hard to make time when working a 9 to 5 to have down time. I had a week off it sucked couldn’t do anything weather was stormy and the only good day my bestie stitched me up last minute, if it was warm and sunny I’d be in nature. I wish I was at where this was filmed it’s my kind of heaven. - by the way this is what I was talking on different video tranquil music nice to see real passion a heart to heart made me feel one of your friends.

I too struggle with myself and what I want. I know everyone does. I've been reshaping myself and my environment for years. I have started to explain it like this to people now "on the highway of life you will need to constantly change lanes, make u-turns, take exits, get back on, and do it all over again. If you don't, you'll never reach your intended destination" I say be who you are and surround yourself with the things and people that make you happy. It's not easy, but the key is the constant reminder that you can be happy and deserve to be happy.

You are both amazing creators. Its so true that in your mid 20s you really go through so many changes. More than as a teen. Im experiencing something similar. We all are changing a little bit everyday. You need to do what will make you happy. Not what others think will make you happy. You keep doing what you want to do. Both of you had very good points. I find you both relatable in many things you've said. Without giving too much away, just know I get it. This phase of life is strange and a journey. I use to make content for myself... I ended up making it for my viewers/followers and burnt out... I still haven't been able to go back to what I use to, but I found something new I love, and this time, it's for me and I plan to keep it that way. Thank you for being honest with us.
